Ok in that case you want a gateway Dsl Gateway its a UK link but you get the idea. Gateway is your keyword i think

Sort of-- If you still want to have internet, you'll need to leave your modem, and run the lan cable from the modem to the internet port of your router. Then plug your computers to the router. If you do what you said you'd still have your home network but no internet.

Possibly-- one way to tell is to hold up the ends, and look at the colors of the wires in the connectors. If they are in the same order, its a regular cable, if they are different--it's probably a crossover.

Start> Control Panel> Network Connections--You should see your 2 connections here. Just highlight both of them, right click, and Bridge Connections. Then you need a crossover cable from staples or bestbuy or radioshack maybe

Answer = Yes You do need a crossover cable though. Maybe not with the PS3, I know that xbox 360's don't need a crossover cable. ICS was mentioned, you could also go to Network Connections, select both connections and hit 'Bridge Connections'

Can someone tell me if it is a good idea to run vista on a different partition? I've read things about vista screwing things up with xp. I'd like to run both. That being said, if theres no problem, can someone recommend a good partitioning tool? thanks.
