The filing also claimed that after one FBI agent saw the storage room, they told Trumpā€™s team: ā€œThank you. You did not need to show us the storage room, but we appreciate it. Now it all makes sense.ā€

In the Mar-a-Lago storage room, there were ā€œboxes, many containing the clothing and personal items of President Trump and the First Lady,ā€ the complaint added. Department of Justice official Jay Bratt asked the Trump team to secure that storage room and the former president ā€œdirected his staff to place a second lock on the door,ā€ it said.

ā€œCounsel for President Trump then closed the interaction and advised the Government officials that they should contact him with any further needs on the matter,ā€ the filing said.

Trumpā€™s lawyers wrote that the former president even personally greeted Bratt and FBI agents in Mar-a-Lagoā€™s dining area.

ā€œBefore leaving the group, President Trumpā€™s last words to Mr. Bratt and the FBI agents were as follows: ā€˜Whatever you need, just let us know,ā€™ā€ the motion said.

ā€œResponsive documents were provided to the FBI agents. Mr. Bratt asked to inspect a storage room. Counsel for President Trump advised the group that President Trump had authorized him to take the group to that room,ā€ Trumpā€™s lawyers added. ā€œThe group proceeded to the storage room, escorted by two Secret Service agents. The storage room contained boxes, many containing the clothing and personal items of President Trump and the First Lady.ā€

I was watching this movie, and the gist of it was, the protagonist was trying to get justice for a friend - but when he came across credible law enforcement - they were not interested, because THEIR investigation was trying to take down the person at the TOP. Bottom line - they didn't give a crap about nabbing all the crooks further down the chain. And - the protagonist observed - they NEVER EVER seem to be able to GET the top guy.

The phrase was - the feds MANAGE crime. They investigate endlessly - but they don't actual do anything.

THAT is how I feel about most pols in Washington. Most of them like to talk about fixing problems - but they never ever get around to it. SOMEHOW there's a "bigger" picture - but - they never seem to get there. It never materializes.

Hence - we have - year after year - the same people on the left - and the right - promising things they never deliver, always blaming the other side.

So - yes, I voted for Trump. Twice. I am not at all like so many on the left think - utterly swayed by his charisma and charm. How do I know that? Because I don't really think he has any. He's not profound. He's not charming. He's not at all witty. He relies on insult where a Ronald Reagan would resort to wit (and a little platitude).

What I like is, he got results. Instead of being a Kennedy with our enemies - politely telling them off - he says about people like Kim Jong Un exactly what WE are thinking. Instead of imploring our allies to do their fair share - he embarrassed them. He called MS-13 animals - where the likes of Pelosi tried to tell us they were all God's children (no, Nancy - they're animals). THAT is what I liked about Trump. We won't see another man like him doing that. Everyone after him will play the politician game.

Hey I was IN a cult. And I thought the head guy was a nitwit. And most of his top leaders. And I sympathized strongly with his detractors who were unfairly dismissed. I KNEW people who worshipped the guy and thought his word was gospel.

I like Trump because of what he can do, but I'm not fool enough to think he can do no wrong. I just know, however, the people opposing him are among the most vile I've ever seen - and when Trump wins, THEY lose. So it works, for me.

Personally, I do not care too much about it. I was just pointing out the hypocrisy of those calling people out and saying they are "racist" meanwhile their "internet friends" get a pass for doing the exact same thing.
