$5.98??? Where?

I shop for my kids at Hollister and Aeropostale and stuff and I don't spend that much. If you watch the sales you can get them pretty cheap.

I have spent $45 on a hoodie but they wear them for a couple of years. Plus they get passed down, so in the end it's worth it.

The hoodies I will spend the money for. All three of mine wear them so they get passed around. That I can understand. I'm doing some shopping tomorrow so I'll let you know if i find any deals. Ross is my first stop. Then I'm heading to Marshall's for shoes. My kids love that place!

I have only been to Marshall's once right after they opened.. I didn't find much then it was actually pretty bare. Maybe because everyone was having a great time buying when it opened

I think I still have a shirt of your son's around here  I haven't seen it lately but for the longest time when we would come across it they would all shout that is ________'s

Poor child never get called by just his first name at your house! :killingme

I did'nt like marshall's at first but the more and more I go I find deals in there. Their shoe selection is great. My two youngest are into the skater shoes and they have the ones they like.

Well we picked that up from school  Do they still call him that? I think oldest is finally over her crush on him.. maybe.. if they end up in class together again she may start it all over again

Shoes like van's? My boy wears van's because he has such wide feet and I am always looking for wide shoes.

We found vans in Ross but my kids wanted DC's and we found them at marshall's. Hoping the kids find some they like tomorrow. Well, I'm getting off here. Have a good night!

Fashion Bug has a really good clearance sale going on right now for girl's clothes. I bought six things for my daughter and saved $25.00. And I only paid 25 dollars.

my son had to give up going to camp with his friends this year, they are all at camp this week. It is a christian church camp. Hubby had to take a cut in pay because of slow work. I am very proud of my son because he understands that we have to give up some things. We were able to have our family vacaction, camping in Pa. but we could not afford to do both ( camp went up in cost this year ) we talked about it and he decided he did not want to give up our family time camping to pay for his camp this week. His father and I are giving up things as well. We have all learned alot this summer ( with the pay cut ) as to what is really important . It's not the STUFF that is important, It is working together as a family when things are tight that is important.

That's great he understands and you work through it as a family.
I've been cutting back at the grocery store and "sale" shopping there and anywhere else. My daughter has been learning how to tell if it's really worth it (to buy the sale item) or if there's a better deal that's not on sale. "More for your money" is what we've been working on.

It really is amazing how many ways you can cut back when you really need too, I am very proud of my family for working thru this together. My son has been making sure lights are turned off in the house and things that are not being used are unplugged.
We only drive now to and from work , and to church on Sunday morning. We do our food shopping once a week and shop for the best deal/sale. As well as we are packing lunches every day. We have a goal and we are all working towards it. That is to see just how much we can cut back and save.....it is a challange...but I believe even with the pay cut we will be able to keep up with the bills and even put some money away for some thing fun later.

I do have to say..it is crazy how much clothes cost now, and you really have to shop to find the good deals any more.
