Weight is a consideration when buying a bike. You need to be able to walk it on level ground and even a slight incline.

Other than that, all bikes weigh the same when you are balanced going down the road IF you are in control of the bike, and that is 0.

If being able to pick up your bike when it is on its side was a hard consideration, there would be a bunch of people on 250 Rebels instead of what they are riding now. If I dumped my Road King it would be difficult for me to get it upright without assistance, but I don't plan on finding out.
