Everything is doing nicely. The antique iris that came from upstate NY some 80 years ago have huge buds. Russian iris too, daylilies... even the strawberries.

But back to the topic.... no hummer sightings yet.

I buy Cane Sugar so I can't make my own unless I also buy granulated white sugar. I bought some Hummingbird concentrate to use after finding out I probably killed some last year with the Cane Sugar :( .

I make my own. Granulated white sugar and water. The feeder is a reddish/purple glass container.

I do too, but found the hummers here seem to prefer the plain ol' plastic red base hangers. The fansy ones hardly see any action.

Just changed out the nectar. No sightings yet.
oh wow I gave all of my feeders to a clerk at Walls Bakery a few years ago when I was trying to reduce the wild bird visits to my property (to comply with the NPIP Poultry Health initiative) but the Hummingbirds kept coming back and I felt bad, so I bought more feeders.

Still no sightings, no change in the nectar level. :ohwell:

But the Iris are doing nicely. Large white in the front yard, grandma's antique bearded iris in the back.

Feeders were put out Monday, but other than the one I saw last week, I haven't seen one since. Strange, they are late this year (at least to my yard)

Haven’t seen one yet either. 😕 They are a little later this year than usual.
Time to refresh the nectar in the feeder.
