Red meat for the masses.IIRC the Reps want accounting/auditing of where the money is going before cutting another check to Ukraine. Is that still their stance?

:fixtIt goes against her programming.
You know - I do want there to be a way to keep Russia from simply taking over Ukraine. TAKING it - or simply, keeping and officially making part of Russia the regions they've already occupied - gives them ENORMOUS leverage over Europe - and of course, the rest of Ukraine.
And - we DO have a treaty with Ukraine which we signed in exchange for them giving up their nuclear weapons - which after the Soviet Union dissolved and Ukraine became independent immediately made them either the third or fourth largest nuclear power in the world. They gave them up in exchange for a promise that we would DEFEND them from an invading Russia.
I realize - they're corrupt. But I also know I don't want a world where Russia can just take whatever nation they want.
The fat guy who stiffs everyone out of the money he owes them complaining about European countries not paying their share for European Security?
What an incredible time to be alive!
Ukraine is NOT a member of NATO.Now he has declared his lawyers can't charge him more than $750 an hour.
Good way to lose the few remaining lawyers willing to work with you.
Period. Just admit that you were wrong again.
Inorite?
How much was that border wall supposed to cost again? If we can throw 80 billion around willy nilly why couldn't we possible afford 18billion? Didn't NYC just say their illegals would cost like 12B a year? Maybe NYC should fund it by themselves. We can afford both.
So why don’t we just give them the nukes back? You know - I do want there to be a way to keep Russia from simply taking over Ukraine. Russia declared it would not attack Ukraine. And "defend" might be somewhat misleading. As I understand it what was agreed to was "security assurances" (which is not a statement of providing defense). The intent was never that we would defend Ukraine, it is more of a provide hardware and money so they could defend themselves. They gave them up in exchange for a promise that we would DEFEND them from an invading Russia.

Recently? I mean as major invasions go the ones I remember are the Mongols (in the 13th century), Napoleon (in 1812) and Hitler (in 1941).Russia has been invaded more than any other country in History, you cannot blame them for not being paranoid
Gee, you must be very old.Recently? I mean as major invasions go the ones I remember are the Mongols (in the 13th century), Napoleon (in 1812) and Hitler (in 1941).

Because Russia has them (mostly). My guess is, they won’t be returning them.So why don’t we just give them the nukes back?
