9 Month old Bulldog and 9 month old Rottweiler at Shelter

I had posted on the 7th about a bulldog that was on her last day at the shelter, they pulled her and have kept her ever since (which should tell you something), well, her number is up again.

I went by there tonight and took some pictures and met her, she was an owner surrender, said she bit the other dog. Tonight she did not react whatsoever to any of the other dogs in the cages, she was face to face with the 9 month old Rottweiler that was surrendered today, there was no reaction and she was fine with the shelter cat.

I saw absolutely no agression whatsoever. She can only go to rescue, but if someone is interested I'm sure one of the rescues could help get this girl into a loving home (yours!).

A 9 month old female Rottweiler was surrendered today, said she was too much for them. From the sounds of it, anything would have been too much. She is currently in heat, said she gets along with kids, she was fine with the bulldog and was great with the shelter cat as well.

These two deserve a home by Christmas, one that will allow them to grow into the dog they can be!

I hope these two find a good home.

I just don't get people who get puppies and get rid of them because they acted like, oh wait, puppies.

Thanks for keeping us posted.

I've contacted a Bully rescue group in Fairfax regarding the bully pup. I adopted a bully from them, and they arre awesome folks. Hopefully they can intervene, and do some good. Not sure if there is a simaler group that deals with rotts.

Which shelter are they at? I have a friend who might be interested in the Bully.

They are at TriCounty in Hughesville.

The Bully can ONLY go through rescue, so if your friend is really interested they would need to contact me.

That's great, I sent an email out before I got her pictures to a number of groups but didn't get a reply, the pictures have been forwarded as well now, hopefully someone can get her out and into a home!

Unfortunately there are not very many Rottweiler Rescues. The one in NoVa does a great job, but she is always full and her people skills stink. There are a few other groups that have soft spots for Rottweilers as well, but as with most they are usually full.

This girl is sweet and can be adopted to the public.

I don't understand people either, a pet is a commitment, one that you should be prepared and commited to dealing with, through the puppy stage and throughout it's life.

Maybe HappyAppy could help the little girl. She's a Rottie breeder.

The Bulldawg is beautiful. If you cannot find her a home, I will take her in a New York minute. We are somewhat familiar with the breed. We’ve been looking for a 2nd dog for a long time but I want the 2nd one to be a rescue and good with cats (I have 2 of them - one I'll trade for a pair of socks).

I have a Boxer/lab mix coming tomorrow for the week. :yikes: So that will be a good test. :jameo:

It's a start. :yay:

Which reminds me, it's almost time to drop my every 6-week $100 at Clippers to feed my crew.

Maybe we need to rethink...

It's only money, Catt! Think of all the cute pups we could make happy! :yahoo:
