I will also try calling the Bully rescue folks as well. I have a 1yr old Bully, and I can't take the bully shown at the shelter, but will work like hell to find a home for any Bully pup..

Any help will be appreciated. Even if someone could be a temporary foster that would be a help.

I know the holidays are hard as most people don't want to introduce a strange animal to their home, but to these dogs, they don't know the difference. What better way to spread the holiday feelings, than to help a homeless animal find a home?

Right, the Bully's time is up, they know we are working on getting her sprung.

I have to tell you, both of these dogs demonstrated their personalities last night. We were in the tech room, where they had already been euthanizing animals, so with the powerful noses dog's have, they had to be able to smell the death and THEY WERE STILL GOOD WITH EACH OTHER.

That right there makes me even more determined to get them out of there.

I would take bully in a second, but I have a houseful right now. I am fostering that litter of puppies from Tri-County.

Trust me, I have plenty to say about this (but won't as this thread is to find a couple of good girls homes): "He has been an outside dog since birth. We have had him for about 3 years now. He is a great watchdog and is very protective of my entire family. This is the first season that he keeps breaking loose from his collar/chain."

This is an accident waiting to happen, no fault of the dog, purely stupid owners.

Why will they only release the Bully to a rescue but let anyone have the Rottie?

You're Not Going To Believe This!

Also outside is a mastiff tied to a tree with no shelter. ALSO outside in a small fenced area are at least 30 Chihuahuas~ poor things are living in massive amouts of feces! Oh, it doesn't end there! Inside there are about 20 crates with each 2 or 3 Chihuahuas in them and again feces and pee galore! Lastly a Parrot and 2 turtles!

And if Animal Control confiscates these dogs from this other post, that will jeopardize the ones at the shelter that have been there for a while...the shelter will need to make room...

Right, the Bully has the "bite" report (from biting the other dog), and since she may be a mix, she can only go to a rescue.

The Rottie girl, can be adopted to anyone as she is an owner surrender without any bad history.

Softballcrazy is right - if those animals from the other thread (which should happen) get confiscated and go to the shelter, there will be a number of dogs put down to make room. The owner surrenders and the other "adoptable" but harder to place dog will loose.

One thing to keep in mind, if the Rottweiler is adopted, she can't be released UNTIL after she goes to the vet to be spayed, so even adopting her today, you won't be taking her home for probably a week, depending on what vet you choose for the spay/shots.

My husband and I can take the bully. I assume that when she leaves the rescue, she will be spayed and we can assist with the payment of that and her vet bills if a rescue group can save her from the shelter. We have the chihuahuas but can watch her carefully to make sure there are no signs of aggression. Then that can save her until a forever home is found.
