I hope that doesn't mean another roadside memorial.

I heard the Tiki bar was giving out free drinks so I was on my way over there but the bridge was closed :tantrum:

Too late now, the place has been sold and they closed it up right after they closed the bridge. That's what caused the accident in Wildewood. I hope no forumites were involved!!!

Jaie - in regards to the karma you sent, I meant no offense to anyone, it was more in referral to the long thread on roadside memorials.

Nutty as this sounds, I do, in fact, make sign of the cross at every roadside memorial I pass and have done so many times when passing by Karlie. When I walk in the morning/evening I pass the memorial set up for that young man shot near Monks and stop long enough to say the Our Father and Hail Mary. I'm not that religious but my wish for everyone when they die - is a better place. If prayer helps you get there well........

Roadside memorials bother me not and perhaps I should have said I hope that doesn't mean another roadside memorial thread. Mea culpa. Green squares coming your way.

OK. I think roadside memorials are STUPID.. specially since most of the fatalities they are there for died becasue they were doing something STUPID!!

That's what graveyards are for.. take your silly stuffed animals, and plastic flowers and make a memorial in your living room where I don't have to look at it. Nothing nicer to remember someone by then a teddy bear thats been sitting in the weather for six months.

Donate your money to the Mothers Against Dum Azz Drivers..

Karma Bomb me all you want.. Stupid is Stupid..

The roadside memorial at the wildwood light is there because her family buired her in New York and wouldn't let anyone go to it.

She was doing something stuiped but she left alot of people behind that cared alot about her including a child that was 5 at the time.

Nope sorry, doesn't change my mind.. STUPID!!

I'm sure her five year old doesn't need to grow up riding past that spot everyday and be reminded of where her mom died..

Let it go.. have a memorial service in a church, or a Legion (whichever her beliefs would have been more comfortable with) then let it go!

Not all cemeteries allow all that frou-frou for just that reason.
