No... I stated where I worked when I joined about a year ago... but the money averages out... you seem to hone in on any post that I post regarding that for some reason or anything related to where I work :ohwell:

I seem to hone in on any post that you post regarding what? you're job? No I've honed in on others, such as the posts about your men, your boat, your hair problems, your picture posting problems, your truck problems, your room mate problems, your goats, your wild vermin, your cats, your friendship with tigger, and your grill problems. If there were others, those I might have ignored.

I was just unsure that why if you have such a great paying job why you're biatching about housing......nothings wrong a trailer you know

I don't know... could be the lastest survey out from urban institute states a 87% increase in the cost of housing in the DC metro area from 2001 to 2003... that's what I'm biatchn about... and I'm not the only one... this is not the first thread started about it... and I'm not the only one that is upset by the increase... there are others... but yet you hone in and single ME out. :ohwell:

Feel free to take some Dems as you seem a little touchy about this situation. We all realize that no matter what advice is given it's just much easier to complain about our own situations than to get off our butts and do something about it! Cuz, if we didn't have something to complain about then there would be no drama in our lives to post on a public forum!

No.... I accept responsibility... people just see the complaining... it's not at all excusitis that most folks suffer from I am trying to do things... but you are talking about a personal issue that 99% of the forum does not know what I'm going through at the time and is no one's buisness on that... I have admitted in my other posts... I had my shot at a house, the window of opportunity is closed for the time being.. I hold no one ressponsible but my self for my current predictament.

Maybe Fittrs makes to much to qualify for a nursing grant... I know when I was in college... I couldn't get any aid because they said my salary was too high... however, if I had a greencard or a few babies it wouldn't have been a problem :frown: I thought the Republicans were to blame for this :cussing: but now I'm starting to wonder if the Dems are really to blame for this theory of "the greencard will get you further in financial aid than working hard to support yourself and then being told you make too much money"...

Ok, just ask her if that same report states that 80% also had a salary increase of over $15,000. Just food for thought.

food for thought... that equates to something like 5K a year... which is about 416 a month... after taxes its a bout 200.00 extra a month and not EVERYONE received 15K cummulative in raises in the past 3 years... maybe they interviewed those in the 400K and up houses. It was about 800 to rent in 2001 now.. it's about 1500.00 which is about 700.00 extra... take out the 220 that a single person might actually see in hard cash and there's still a 480 deficit... nearly 500.00 short a month and all the while gas and other things are skyrocketing.... does that answer your question

Hey, I got my new house. And I turned down my annual increase in favor of more days off. And I don't need no stinkin' advice on how to save money.

But you do make a vary valid point, Prep.

Did you just buy it this month or this year
No, we've been in it for about 2.5 years. Definately NOT a buyers market when we bought, and my salary has increased since we bought, but we were able to make the payments on my salary WHEN WE BOUGHT. The increase in any morgage payments due to higher value of the house were we to buy it today would be covered by the increase in my pay. In fact, we refinanced after a year, which brought our morgage up to date with the increase value AND my salary. So cry me a river. :bawl:

I don't know anything about cars and automobiles  apples and oranges... I just thought it was normal because Ihad the fuel pump replaced and it was just getting broken in or something... kind of like the smell of oil g after you add oil ... some drips onto the manifold or crankcase... you smell it burning but know it's normal... I have no idea what is inside my fuel tank to even guess and after a few weeks... I posted the question
