I don't believe for a second they will actually go to trial. They will offer him a deal where he has to do safety training or something and maybe some community service that will end up being him teaching an acting class to the homeless.
Yep, he could plead out, but will he? I think he is arrogant enough to fight it, after all (in his own words) "I didn't pull the trigger".

Must have been one of those rogue haunted ghost guns that seek innocent people and shoots them on it's own.

Hey Baldwin, you should have used an AR. They are easier to train.

its spreading like the plague. Remember wayyy back when, when SUV's killed people ?? its a pandemic. Car Shield spokesman Tony "Big Tone" Fauchey says to get your guns and SUV's insured for such instances.

Ok, I'm late to the party because, in general, Baldwin's story gets way too much coverage, I've been ignoring most of it and I am generally highly suspicious when so many news organizations cover a story that - had it not involved someone FAMOUS - wouldn't get national coverage at all.

So what I'd like to know is why and how a LIVE ROUND ever made it into a gun used on the set? Why was there a live round within a mile of that set? And you'd think - whomever PUT that bullet in there is FAR more guilty of a crime than Baldwin. I don't like the guy one bit - but it sure seems weak to blame him for pointing a prop gun at someone, and not find out who loaded it.

Did I get something wrong?

Yep, it was a real single action revolver being used as a prop. Anyone that handled the weapon was obligated to verify that it either wasn't loaded or was loaded with blanks. And even if loaded with blanks they shouldn't have pointed and fired it at anything they had no intention of shooting. This is all Firearms Safety 101.

As to the live rounds I'm pretty sure I read/heard that prior to the actual shooting cast and/or crew had been "plinking" targets with the "classic" weapons.

Yep. They are suppose to point to the side of other actors and crew and let the camera angle and movements make it look right.

One of the Propmasters on Hollywood weapons, Larry Zanoff described in in detail on one of their shows. Baldwin broke that rule too.
