neither, we claim to not know.
you make yorself feel good by believeing a fairy tale that has NO basis in reality or logic.
I realize you claim not to know. You've said that. That's why I said "you know which of us has an answer?", because I realize you don't have one.

I have a more inquisitive mind than to be satisfied with no answer. I take the most logical one that exists - there was a start to time, and someone started it. You take, well, not knowing (and being okay with that) as an answer. I look further.

Edit: You realize that neither of us can KNOW what has the basis in reality, right? We have to take on faith what we believe to be that reality, because, as you pointed out, it COULD be just a figment of our imagination.

I started time.....

"Magic" implies falsehood. Intention vs. random sh!t happening is the difference between magic and creation.
Magic:
1 the use of means (as charms or spells) believed to have supernatural power over natural forces b: magic rites or incantations
2 a: an extraordinary power or influence seemingly from a supernatural source b: something that seems to cast a spell : enchantment
3: the art of producing illusions by sleight of hand

magic is intentional, and absolutely not random.

how do you know when i came into existence?
I strongly suspect you're a human, and (while I can't prove that you are human) that would make you mortal. you've never claimed to be anything but. Since there is no mortal man alive now that predates time...........

Or, are you just being obtuse?

mortal or not, i am claiming that i started time. since there is no proof that i didn't it is an equally logical theory, right?

If there were no proof of time before you, you would be correct.

What point are you trying to make with such a childishly stupid argument that you created time?

Actually, it goes something like this:

The rationalist -- remains consistent that nature is naturally explained and therefore within the grasp of man to understand, as opposed to the theistic, which purports to explain the known by suggesting it comes not only from an unknown -- but ultimately unknowable source.

Again, the irony..............
Magic:
1 the use of means (as charms or spells) believed to have supernatural power over natural forces b: magic rites or incantations
2 a: an extraordinary power or influence seemingly from a supernatural source b: something that seems to cast a spell : enchantment
3: the art of producing illusions by sleight of hand

since it was ignored last time....

I'm not sure that I can verbalize this question in the correct context, but can anyone explain this............rationally?

We're all living in the year 2008, as far as I've been told.

That date equates to the year our Lord Jesus Christ was born on this earth.

With all the doubters and unbelievers present on this planet, how is it that the entire world has accepted this time, this chronology, this history - concerning world events as genuine fact?

If I understand your question correctly, you can find a good paper written on that subject here.
