What TRUTH? What a weird thing to say. Maybe you meant Colbert's "Truthiness". The truth is that they literally created new laws in order to turn expired misdemeanor offenses into a felony. That is an absolute TRUTH. You can claim it was necessary because if Trump got away with, uh, mislabeling a payment that the world would have collapsed but that doesn't change the TRUTH that they specifically created laws to target a specific individual which is a thinly veiled bill of attainder.

If a crime 10 years old isn't worth bothering with you have to admit that is a pretty petty crime to begin with.

Sort of up there with registering for historic plates for your every day driver.

Seems you don't understand catch and kill. The idea was to bury the story.

Cohen went to jail years ago for the same crime.

Kind of hard to prosecute Trump while he was president too.

Registering historic plates is not a felony.

Crime should be punished no matter when it occurs. Not just because you ran out the clock.
