Use a hair dryer to heat them up and then peel them off.

Then use rubbing alcohol or Goo-Gone to get the residue off.

I concur. I've done this to take the dealer decals off of every car I've had.

I used a hair dryer and it worked like a charm. I had a little spooking afterwards, but a coat of wax took care of that problem.

I also removed the dealer's sticker. I spent nearly 2 1/2 hours just cleaning the outside, but removing the decals only took me 15 minutes. Now, I need to clean the inside.

Great. Glad it worked out for ya. I figured it would be a no brainer.

Now, just something to keep in the back of your mind. The next time you think about it. After dark, get a flashlight and go out and look at the area you removed the stickers from. Then compare to the rest of your finish. If you "feel" that those scratches are noticably more than you see on the rest of your finish and you would not mind spending $7-10 to correct, Autozone & K-mart have a product made by Meguiars called Scratch-X. (Black, shampoo looking tube with red letters) This is a hand applied cleaner/polish that you can easily use to reduce or even get rid of these scratches. It is very user freindly as some folks use it on their entire vehicle prior to waxing when needed. It is a very handy product to have around as whenever you get a scratch you can get this stuff and hit the finish and remove it. If the scratches are such that you can catch your fingernail in it, it will likely be beyond amatuer help. But if you fingernail does not get caught in it, Scratch-X will work the paint surrounding the scratch down enough to make the scratch go away or at least get it to a point that most others will not notice it. It depends on how deep it is.

If you feel there is a need to try this, and can think of something I may be able to help with, let me know. I have learned alot from folks who were willing to help me out. I enjoy doing the same.

Have a good one.

Hey thanks Jeff.

There is no evidence of the stickers ever being there. I pulled up behind it in another truck this evening and I didn’t see it either.

I do appreciate the advice on removing scratches. Today, I spent somewhere in the neighborhood of 5 hours cleaning my truck. 2 ½ hours before weight training class and 2 ½ hours after; I’m very sore. Anyway, the wax did not take out a couple of very light surface scratches, so I will be sure to test out this product and give you some feedback.

No Problem. That Meguair's Forum has alot of threads concerning the use of the Scratch-X if you have any questions. Good Stuff.

Have a great weekend!!
