Obama's DHS Secretary: FYI, Cages or Whatever You Want to Call Them, Weren't Invented by Trump

Former Department of Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson gave the left another reality check over the weekend about detention centers on the southern border with Mexico.

“Chain link barriers, partitions, fences, cages, whatever you want to call them, were not invented on January 20, 2017, okay?" Johnson said during an interview at the Aspen Institute.

Johnson was asked about a photo taken in 2014. It shows the former Secretary touring a border detention facility in Arizona when the unaccompanied minor and family unit crisis actually began. Most of the media started paying attention to the issue, while expressing outrage over the Trump administration's response to it, only recently.

A second official said she went in and out of the cell during the group’s briefing nearby and returned to the group several times to share information she had learned from detainees, including that one person had drunk from a toilet.

Heard someone in hysterics last night about the toilet thing...They were getting water from the toilet tank(clean water) not the toilet bowl. Sounds much better to the Dims if you make it sound like they are drinking fouled water.

A witness who was at the facility described Ocasio-Cortez's behavior toward CBP officals as being "threatening," saying that she was "crying and screaming and yelling."

A second CBP official described one of Ocasio-Cortez's outbursts, telling the Examiner that the 29-year-old "[said] something under her breath, 'Oh, all these guys in here are gonna f*** me.'"

"The agents are standing there behind the computers," the official continued. "One of the agents laughed at something he was saying to another agent, and she got irate and flipped out. Now they’re under investigation for it. She took it as they were laughing at her and screams at them and says, 'What’s so funny?'"

I don't understand why she's yelling at these agents. The agents don't appropriate funding for proper housing facilities, Congressional Representatives begin that process in the House of Representatives. She should be yelling at the Representatives that actively stopped the president's request for humanitarian funds those several months ago, when it would have been effective by now, for their hateful, racist actions in stopping those funds from helping these poor illegal aliens.

It's really weird seeing only half of a conversation. But the very interesting thing.... the part of the conversation that's missing is all libtards. There isn't a single comment I see that I can't get behind in one respect or another.
Spot on.

Tapper Shreds AOC On Border Bill. AOC Doubles Down On Holocaust Rhetoric.

Tapper questioned Ocasio-Cortez after she wrote the following on Twitter: "Under no circumstances should the House vote for a McConnell-only bill w/ no negotiation with Democrats. Hell no. That’s an abdication of power we should refuse to accept. They will keep hurting kids if we do."
If they make it past the neo-nate stage, they're old enough to vote. Otherwise, off with their heads (and other body parts)!

Hispanic pastors tour border facility lambasted by AOC and say they are ‘shocked by misinformation’

Rev. Samuel Rodriguez was "full of indignation" when he saw the reports and heard from politicians about the deplorable and inhumane conditions for illegal immigrants at an El Paso County, Texas migrant detention center. But what he saw at the same facility toured by Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y. with a group of pastors was "drastically different."

The president of the National Hispanic Christian Leadership Conference, the world's largest Hispanic Christian organization, and senior pastor of New Seasons Christian Worship Center in Sacramento shared his firsthand experience touring a migrant detention center during a press briefing Monday.

“I read the reports, saw the news clips. I just wanted to see what was actually happening in order to better enable our efforts to find a fair and a just solution to our broken immigration system," Rodriguez, who has advised President Trump and both Presidents Barack Obama and George W. Bush on immigration reform, noted. “To my surprise, I saw something drastically different from the stories I’ve been hearing in our national discourse. Even as a veteran of immigration advocacy in the U.S., I was shocked at the misinformation of the crisis at the border."

She is playing to her audience.
The media is her audience, she is losing those who voted for her.

Just a quick reminder - Obama's administration is directly responsible - due to the conditions of his concentration camps - for the deaths of 7 people of the dozens who died under his watch.

(Washington, DC) – Newly released United States government records summarizing investigations of the deaths of 18 migrants in the custody of US immigration authorities support a conclusion that subpar care contributed to at least seven of the deaths, Human Rights Watch said today.

The death reviews, from mid-2012 to mid-2015, reveal substandard medical care and violations of applicable detention standards. Two independent medical experts consulted by Human Rights Watch concluded that these failures probably contributed to the deaths of 7 of the 18 detainees, while potentially putting many other detainees in danger as well. The records also show evidence of the misuse of isolation for people with mental disabilities, inadequate mental health evaluation and treatment, and broader medical care failures.

“In 2009, the Obama administration promised major immigration detention reforms, including more centralized oversight and improved health care,” said Clara Long, US researcher at Human Rights Watch. “But these death reviews show that system-wide problems remain, including a failure to prevent or fix substandard medical care that literally kills people.”
