Applying eyeshadow

Where are my pants?
Usually a combination of the two--as a previous poster said, it really depends on the look you're going for. Brushes give lighter, more even coverage (I like the brushes that Clinique makes), while the sponge applicators/q-tip method will put on a denser layer that's good for dark, dramatic looks. I also think it depends upon the type of shadow you're using to begin with--some brands seem to go on better with different applicators than others.

I use brushes to apply pretty much everything...eyeshadow, foundation, blush, lipstick, etc. I'm not into the whole dramatic look, I lean toward a more natural effect.

MAC brushes are expensive but well worth it. The Sonia Ksomething brand at Target brushes are nice as well. I needed a brush quickly (child grabbed it when I wasn't looking and gave it to the pup), didn't have the time to go to Waldorf before the weekend so I ran by Target to get a cheap replacement for only a couple days until I could get a MAC. It's months later and I'm still using it and very pleased with it! It was probably 1/3 of the price. When I need a new set I'm going to try the whole set. In the meantime, I LOVE my MAC set and I'm very picky.

Sonia Kashuk! To this day, my favorite lipstick palette ever was one of hers, but I can't ever find it again! :jameo: I'll have to try the brushes when it's time to replace mine.

Why do I never think of Target to buy this kind of stuff? Maybe I'll check there this weekend before buying something online.

Thank you all very much. I haven't worn eyeshadow in so long, it should look pretty interesting when I apply it. :lmao:
