I started both mine on cereal around 3 months or so. After they got the hang of the cereal, I started introducing veggies and then fruits. I now have a 5 year old that doesn't like meat and a 21 month old that cannot get enough to eat

I don’t think 2 months is too young, however I would consult her doctor first.

Mine had reflux so when he was a couple of weeks old we started mixing cereal in with his formula. We had to start fruits before 2 months to counter act the cereal's binding effects. And I want to say by 4 months we had introduced vegetables, luckily he didn’t have any problem with them but I had read where you should try veggies first then fruit.

Jwwb2000, you said your son doesn't like meat. My 21 months old son doesn't like meat either and I have a heck of hard time finding "protein" for him to eat. Do you have any suggestions? What have work for your son?

Thanks!

It is my 5 year old daughter that doesn't like meat  I make sure she eats peanut butter or beans. Last resort are baked in the oven chicken nuggets.

My son eats whatever is on his plate, my plate, and his dad's plate  He is my food eater.

I started my daughter on cereal & baby food at about 2 months w/out consulting my doctor. In fact, I didn't rely on my doctor for much of anything, unless she was sick.

I didn't consult my doctor on all that type of crap either, but a lot of people do. I just sort of went w/the flow. At 2 mos. neither of my pigs needed much more than they were getting and seemed satisfied, so I didn't bother. I did try the cereal in the bottle thing w/baby-K b/c of her excessive barfing, but it didn't help so I stopped messing with it.

Another thing I was told was that I was to feed her every 2 hrs on the dot. Although- to me- that seems a bit much considering she doesnt WANT it every 2 hrs. So, I just feed her when she is hungry. I have never done the 2 hr rule that was told to me- and she is doing just fine.

I never did those rules either, I did just what you're doing - feed on demand. Babe #1 was cool with eating every 3-4 hours, but Babe #2 ate every 2 hours like clockwork. I never woke them up in the middle of the night for feedings or anything either...I just let 'em roll! You're doing just fineeeeeee! :huggy:

Thanks. He have already been eating yogurt, cottage cheese, hotdogs, and taco. Those are the only protein he will eat. I am looking for other food that have protein that my son will eat.

You can also add peanut butter to the list for protein.
