I bet all of you were soooo relaxed when you had your first child? C'mon now. Yes, we are young, but everyone learns as they go. The kids are in a safe, loving environment (on mom's and dad's sides) and that's all that matters.

I have a very different child-rearing philosophy than most people. Your last sentence is pretty good. Socks and crocs :yay: My youngest son wore a fish shirt and plaid shorts almost exclusively when he was three, except when it was in the laundry. He thought he looked great.

Thank God, Nickel gets it. Some of you young'ens totally miss the point. You need to relax or you're in for a world of trouble. :lmao:
My youngest brother is considerably younger than me. 12 years younger, to be exact, so I was a teenager when he was going through the dressing himself phase. Christy gave him a pair of hand-me-down cowboy boots that he wore everywhere, and with everything. Shorts and cowboy boots, sweatpants and cowboy boots...you get the picture. My mom wasn't phased, but imagine my mortification. :drama: I pretty much let J pick out what he wears, as long as it fits and, if he'll be going outside, it pretty much has to be in season.
