Where could I find names of the injured?

I am hoping that nobody was killed...but when the helo comes in...things are very serious. My friend drives for STS...I would really like to know if he was involved.

From what I heard, the STS driver and passengers were fine.

Rumor has the car passing another car not seeing the bus....but that is ONLY rumor. They are saying for once the bus did nothing wrong....but that could be *them* trying to save face.

Maybe this is a dumb question, but what is an STS bus?

Is that a public transportation bus? Like VanGo?

I've only been in St. Mary's County for 18 months, and I just had not heard "STS" before today.
They're those blue-and-white short buses that usually are driving at or below the speed limit. If you've been here for more than a week, you've seen some.

I used to call 'em the Seniors Transportation Service.

:bs: I have been almost run off the road by some of those busses. Some of those drivers should not be behind the wheel.

:yeahthat: and the short bus isn't much better. Damn thing pulled out in front of a truck this morning making a left hand turn, then had difficulty staying in her own lane.

Actually they are always going 45. 45 in a 55, 35, 25, or parking lot. They are the worst drivers I've ever seen.

I live in Mechanicsville and I've seen the VanGo bus come as far as the Charlotte Hall area, but I just cannot place a visual on every seeing an STS bus.

From St. Mary's Today:

"Car-load of teens crossed center line, hit St. Mary's transit bus head-on, 1 dead, 3 injured."

nbc4.com is carrying the story... it will be on the news tonight.

TEEN KILLED IN ST. MARY'S CRASH

Police in St. Mary's County say a teenager is dead and three others are injured after a crash in Loveville.

A 15-year-old girl was killed in the accident at about 7:40 a.m. Friday. According to authorities, a 1999 Ford Crown Victoria driven by a 17-year-old boy was traveling south on Route 5 when it crossed the centerline and collided with a county bus.

The driver of the Crown Victoria and a 14-year-old male passenger were airlifted to a Prince George's County hospital where, police said, they are listed in stable condition. A 17-year-old female passenger in the Crown Victoria was treated and released from St. Mary's Hospital.

In addition to the driver, the county bus carried a 51-year-old woman and a 25-year-old man. Those passengers were treated and released from St. Mary's Hospital.

Police said the teenagers were headed to class at Chopticon High School.
