I love it when people see a dog and go - wow I want THAT dog!

Now only if we can find LuLu a home that easily ... she's going to need room to run and play - as she's high energy, so requires quite a different type of home than a laid back type like Maggie - good luck to whoever gets her! She looks adorable!

Actually Lulu is pretty small compared to what Labs are like. She is about the size of a 6 month old Lab. But she also is high energy, so the personality of the dog could also be a factor for you.

The guy in some of the pictures with her is 6 feet tall. Gives you an idea of how small she is. She is quite muscular, so she probably weighs about 10 lbs more than she looks. I forgot how much she weighs.

Thankfully my coworkers understand why my head's in the clouds and know I'm just biding time until I can go home!

The owner/keeper of Maggie decided to go with a friend that was originally interested in her and had changed their mind. So unfortunately, my home was not meant to be hers. Sigh....

But thank you all for the encouragement and support! One day we'll find the perfect dog for us.

Maybe you can take a stroll through the shelter once a week to see what they have . You may see one that you can try out <G>.

Strolling would probably end up with me in tears bc I can't take them all home!

But maybe I'll consider some look-throughs after we move. It's probably best for now bc we're trying to leave CRE and find a place in St. Mary's. After all that moving chaos is over, we'll check the shelters

I used to get all sappy-eyed too, but over time, seeing them just makes me try harder to get people to go to the shelter to save lives. Even if I could pull dogs, I have no place to put them pending adoption. I guess the Ark needs to setup space for dog fostering.

I just spoke to Lauren and she said there is a female American Bulldog Mix there that is sweet. If I bring another dog home, the people I know will think I'm crazy. My American Bulldog Mix is dominant so I can only have non-dominant dogs around him, unless I want a fight (I do not). She said the female is named Paige. PLEASE someone go the HS in Waldorf and take Paige home before I get there okay? I don't want to hear my family/friends calling me the crazy critter lady if I get another dog. Thank goodness I don't get judged by how many chickens I have - I think I have become the crazy chicken lady LOL

I guess ICit can remain the crazy dog lady as she and Christy battle for first place LOL - you two are such great people for all you do for so MANY dogs .

DOG LOVERS please go to the Humane Society in Waldorf - they are a no-kill shelter BUT they do transfers to Tri-County, which IS a kill shelter. Let's try to get all of the adults they have adopted today. PLEASE?!
