This is my first post. I had to say something about lymes. My 22 year old was just diagnosed with lymes. She has been complaining about really bad headaches, throwing up, bad pain in her legs where she couldn't walk and now it is in her back. She has days where she hurts so bad she doesn't move. We never found a tick on her and there was never a bulls eye rash. They did so many tests on her the last two months including CT scans. They did a lymes test last because we never found a tick. I was shocked to here she has it. She is now on IV treatments at home. She has a tube in her arm and hooks up her meds to it a half hour a day.

I just wanted to say something about it because I would mention getting tested for that. I wish I did because maybe my daughter would not be hurting as bad as she is now. Good luck with your son.

Thank you for your post, it is an important thing to think about in this area that we live.....many have been sick from Lymes and many do not know the effects of it. Some stay sick for a very long time before finding out it is Lymes.
Thank you again for posting.

BTW, all of the other "sickness" post I have posted have had very good outcomes.

The only retard the I see are the ones that offer advise but when their advise is not taken they like to criticize.

People that live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones.....

Hi!

How is your son doing? Is he feeling any better?

I know of another individual 30'ish in the same situation. She lives in the Lusby area, no seen tick, no rash. She does the IV at home also although I think it's more than once a day. Lymes is serious business.

Hi!

How is your son doing? Is he feeling any better?

Followed up with his primary doc and he said it is a pulled muscle in his neck. With a lot of TLC is he getting there. Doc put him on a muscle relaxer and told me give him Mortin for the inflammation. So with the new meds, massaging his neck, hot tub and heat, he can now turn his head to the right, but is still having trouble tilting his head up.

I am still going to keep that appt. that I have at Children's just to be safe.

About a month ago when his headaches started getting bad, blood work was done covering just about everything from A-Z. Lyme test was one of them and everything came back good.

I am so gald it was just a pulled muscle. I Don't mean to downgrade the situation but it could have been much worse....well you know what I mean. I am just happy for you that he is going to be ok.
