Belly Button Piercing

-lilgiggles-

...trying to keep up...
I'm trying to do this right (go to a professional), but not spend half a paycheck on one little hole in my skin. Does anyone know where the best/cheapest place is to get your belly button pierced? (Preferably in St. Mary's Co)

I know Underground is $50 and I've heard that someplace else is $60...

TIA!

If half your paycheck is $50-$60 you should probably reprioritize where you're spending your money.

Nah, I was exaggerating. I've been wanting to get it pierced for a while, but I've also been trying to keep on a tight budget. I haven't spent $50 on something for me in months so it feels like a lot more than it really is.
I have the money, I just also have this problem of over-thinking and over-planning so when I envision spending $50, I think of how that could be a tank of gas, or food for a week, or saved for the future, and I don't end up buying what I wanted. I'm trying to force myself to do something for me and stop putting it off.

Very well then. Carry on! I think some hair salons do it.

Why me??
I got mine done in 1997. I think then it was like $25 at Mystic. I just took it out this summer since I am pregnant.

Thanks! Did you like the person who did it? I want someone who is going to be nice and patient with me. (I'm pretty nervous...)

It's not bad at all. I've had mine done for 15 years now and have had to have it redone 3 times due to it working it's way out. The worst part is the clamp.

Oh cool. Where is that?

All I really know of in St. Mary's is Underground, Ink Wizard and Chronic Ink...I know that there are others, but I can't think of any at the moment...

Underground did a fine job, and it was about $50 in 2004. I got an inexpensive silver ring (hoop) When my daughter had hers pierced she did the barbell. She healed better than I did.

Oh! That's another question...which is better to get it done with, hoop or barbell?? (I'm sure I can ask once I get there too...) lol

Thank you all

Yea I forget the guys name that did mine. I was nervous and he was patient. There is a place in crofton that does really good work. I got my nose pierced there and my tat done there and they give you a popsicle when you get pierced!

Mystic in Crofton has a great rep.

Some places will only pierce with a hoop since it is easier to keep clean and heal. You do realize navel piercings take usually 6 months to heal and require fastidious attention in order to avoid infection? If you do get the hoop, once healed it is easy enough to switch to a barbell. Make sure the piercing is not done too shallow or the typical barbell lengths will end up being too long.
