Plea deal for KSM & other 9/11 terrorists is a final Biden ‘Screw you!’ to America

The Biden administration’s toxic legacy continues to do grave harm to Americans and the national interest; the latest outrage is the renewed likelihood that the 9/11 masterminds will avoid the death penalty.

On Monday, an appeals court tossed Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin’s move to quash plea deals offered to Khalid Sheik Mohammed and co-conspirators Walid bin Attash and Mustafa al-Hawsawi.

Those deals were signed in July by senior defense official and retired Brig. Gen. Susan Escallier, an Austin appointee to the Office of Military Commissions.

Escallier horrified America and the families of 9/11 victims when she OK’d the monstrous agreements; Austin — after publicly, pathetically confessing to have been “surprised” by the move — tried to nix them, prompting a legal tussle that at the moment seems to have been resolved not in favor of justice and America but injustice and her enemies.

Customs officers interrupt Lauren Sánchez sunbathing on Jeff Bezos’ $500M yacht to conduct surprise raid

Lauren Sánchez’s sunbathing aboard her fiancé Jeff Bezos’ $500 million yacht, Koru, was interrupted by customs officers for a search that lasted three hours on New Year’s Eve, Page Six has learned.

We obtained photos of the former TV reporter, 55, smiling and posing on the top deck of the luxury ship, wearing a Versace bikini, black sarong and large hat, while officers scoped another area.

The uniformed officials, who stepped onto the boat with all their equipment and black life jackets, were seen speaking to a stewardess, as she appeared to instruct them on where to go.

Biden downplays ISIS threat to US, repeatedly says White supremacy 'most lethal' danger

Before the devastating terror attack in New Orleans on New Year’s Day rocked the nation, President Biden and his administration repeatedly stressed that the greatest threat facing the country was White supremacy — even explicitly stating that terrorist organizations such as ISIS could not compare to the danger posed by White supremacists.

"According to the intelligence community, terrorism from White supremacy is the most lethal threat to the homeland today. Not ISIS, not al Qaeda — White supremacists," Biden said in June 2021 on the 100th anniversary of the Tulsa Race Massacre.

The comment came just weeks after he declared during the State of the Union that year, "We won’t ignore what our intelligence agencies have determined to be the most lethal terrorist threat to the homeland today: White supremacy is terrorism."

Early on New Year’s Day, New Orleans and the nation were rocked by a suspected terror attack when a man identified as Shamsud-Din Jabbar, 42, allegedly rammed a truck into crowds of revelers celebrating the holiday on the city’s famed Bourbon Street. The FBI confirmed on Wednesday that they were investigating the incident as an act of terror, noting that they had confirmed the suspect had an ISIS flag in the vehicle at the time of the attack.

During the bad drug trip that was the 2020 presidential election, Biden and his advocates kept saying that "decency" and "dignity" were on the ballot. Anyone who had followed Biden's career knew how laughable it was to think that Biden would be the guy to do that, but reality didn't come into play much in that election.

What the Biden family brought to the White House was embarrassing tawdriness. It's like some backwoods, low-rent criminal family hit the political lottery and couldn't wait to trash the joint. I wonder if Jill Biden has hit up Hillary Clinton for pointers on how to steal stuff on her way out the door.

People can say all they want about the chaos of the first Trump term or the ego-driven classlessness of the Obama years, but nobody was finding bags of Peruvian marching powder lying around the nation's executive mansion when either of them were in office.

As part of the Biden parade of decency, the Democrats' flying monkeys in the mainstream media became more biased and corrupt than they ever had been, which is a monumental feat. The MSM hacks have been so awful for so long that it takes real effort to plumb new depths. They spent four years shaming anyone who dared point out that the drooling idiot Biden was, in fact, a drooling idiot.

I find no conflict whatsoever in being a full-throated advocate for free speech while also wishing that I could throw everyone who said something about Biden's stutter or "cheap fakes" down a well.

This is from my friend Ed Morrissey at our sister site HotAir:

The New York Post suffered the most damage from this years-long attempt by the Protection Racket Media to circle wagons around the Bidens. Their editors yesterday warned the public to make sure that the mainstream media pays for their participation in the worst political cover-up since at least Woodrow Wilson's stroke, if not of all time:

The public will have to be well represented by Republican elected officials in this case. There is no excuse whatsoever for anyone in the GOP to play footsie with the MSM. Everyone in the Trump administration, as well as every Republican on Capitol Hill, must relentlessly call out the Kristen Welkers and Jake Tappers of the world for their toxically shameful behavior.

My good friend and partner in thought crimes Stephen Green asks his readers what they'll miss the least about Biden, while offering his own list. Here's one from that:

"His foreign policy of coddling authoritarians and dictators while running roughshod over our allies has unleashed war from Eastern Europe through the Middle East to the Red Sea — and the Pacific isn't looking too great, either," I wrote in August, and the threat of war has only grown.

Jill Biden Handed $20,000 Diamond as Gift from India’s PM

The diamond was noted in an annual accounting published by the State Department on Thursday, AP reports. The outlet went on to list some of the benefits that were handed to the duo:

The 7.5-carat diamond from Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi was easily the most costly gift presented to any member of the first family in 2023, although she also received a brooch valued at $14,063 from the Ukrainian ambassador to the United States and a bracelet, brooch and photograph album worth $4,510 from the president and first lady of Egypt.
The U.S. president himself received a number of expensive presents, including a commemorative photo album valued at $7,100 from South Korea’s recently impeached President Suk Yeol Yoon, a $3,495 statue of Mongolian warriors from the Mongolian prime minister, a $3,300 silver bowl from the sultan of Brunei, a $3,160 sterling silver tray from the president of Israel, and a collage worth $2,400 from Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

Federal law requires executive branch officials to declare gifts they receive from foreign leaders and counterparts that have an estimated value of more than $480.

The $20,000 diamond was retained for official use in the White House East Wing, according to a State Department document, while the other gifts to the president and first lady were sent to the archives.

Vanessa Valdivia, a spokesperson for Jill Biden, said the diamond will be turned over to the archives after they leave office. She did not say what it was being used for.

President Joe Biden on Friday officially blocked Nippon Steel’s proposed $14.9 billion purchase of US Steel X.N on Friday, citing national security concerns — dealing a potentially fatal blow to the contentious plan after a year of review.

The Committee on Foreign Investment in the US had punted on making a decision last month, leaving the issue up to Biden.

The president’s decision is a major use of executive power on a heavily-politicized election year issue. His announcement comes with just over two weeks left in his term. President-elect Donald Trump had vowed to crush the deal when he returns to office for his second term.

Despite the clear political pressures, Biden said his choice was based on national security concerns.

“It is my solemn responsibility as President to ensure that, now and long into the future, America has a strong domestically owned and operated steel industry that can continue to power our national sources of strength at home and abroad,” Biden said in a statement on Friday, “and it is a fulfillment of that responsibility to block foreign ownership of this vital American company.”
