Kinda of a Kawasaki guy myself and prefer the old ZX-11D myself as a nice sport tourer.
Check out the new Concors. They finally updated the bike and it now has the ZX-14 engine

Now I know the Busa is a big bike, I know the Busa is a heavy bike, I know the Busa is a powerful bike, and in my opinion, it's a beautiful bike, therefore I want it, simple as that.

Can't argue with that! :yay:

But this one made me laugh. :lmao:

Be careful and practice a lot. Good luck.

They really need to rename that bike.. it doesn't have anything in common with the Concours, as much as it's a ZX-14 with different bars.

No price has been set yet, and the only thing they had at the bike show was the prototype. (I didn't go, just relaying third party info)

Splain Please
It shares the same engine cases/displacement, with different heads, cams, frame, trans, final drive and body work.
....and handle bars

Wonder how they know it was a prototype. It's not like they let you test ride them around the room  Think I've seen some test ride articles

Perhaps you have miss my point, or refuse to see my point.
I already stated that I am not considered myself an experience rider, as a matter of fact, "experience" is a relative term, people have putting on tens of thousands of miles and still wouldn't consider themselves experience (like the case of yourself).
You might earn some humble points on your riding skill, but at the moment you start lecturing people, you lose them all (sorry, no heat intended).

Now I know the Busa is a big bike, I know the Busa is a heavy bike, I know the Busa is a powerful bike, and in my opinion, it's a beautiful bike, therefore I want it, simple as that.
Mind you, I do not want myself to be in the future statistic. Some people get a 1000CC super sport bike as their first bike, or after a year, or after 5 years, 10 years, it depends on the the individual, and the responsible drivers know their bikes and know their limit.
Heck, even an experience driver get in accident anyway.

My point is, if you think you're ready, then you're ready (maybe you're not, but who cares)

btw, thanks, and I need luck everyday
as long as you are mature enough to respect it...which it seems like you plan on doing so...

I know I used to scare the crap out of myself on my 2nd bike...whopping 65HP SV650.

its all relative....

ALSO... check out http://www.sportbikes.ws lots of good info and the squids tend to stay away

Yo ItsBob. Took the BMW K1200GT for a spin last Saturday. That was a whole lotta fun. Left the shop and hit I-5 heading toward Seattle. Pickup crept up a bit too close for comfort, cracked the throttle in 5th, checked my mirrors and the ole pickup was a mere blip wayyyy back behind me.

Riding position is not bad. Wind hitting me in the chest and head kept the weight off my wrists. Legs were folded up pretty well. Bit more cramped than the LT. Played with the electronic suspension settings as I buzzed around the loop. Had the widder plugged in so the 40 degrees felt comfy. Handlebars were a bit buzzy, but not bad. Nice growl from the can. Inline four is a bit whiny at idle, reminiscent of the FJR.

Not real sure where you would use the 6th gear unles you are on Highway 50 through Nevada. Was a solid ride at 100 mph. Very responsive to handlebar inputs.

Now if they can just put that powerplant into a touring version for us older fat guys! :whoosh:
