You could just duct tape all that gobbly gook to your windshield. :shrug:bennydafig said:
I think I would have velcro'd the gear to the surface of the bag instead of having those big ugly brackets/electronics blocking the gauges.bennydafig said:
When sitting on the bike it doesn't block the guages.. the RAM mounts are there to bring them into your field of view.. having them velcroed to the bag makes you look down to see the screen, and you taking your eyes off of the road.ylexot said:I think I would have velcro'd the gear to the surface of the bag instead of having those big ugly brackets/electronics blocking the gauges.
Yea but when you trade her in on a younger model she won't take the house and half your paycheck.BadGirl said:I Keep telling you......no matter how much you indulge that bike, no matter how much money you put into that machine, no matter how lovingly you take care of her, she just ain't gonna love you back.
I must admit, you have a good point. But if I were going to take anything, it would be the WHOLE paycheck. I'm greedy like that.aps45819 said:Yea but when you trade her in on a younger model she won't take the house and half your paycheck.
Good to know how fast you're actually going. Too bad they don't make it easier to calibrate the speedometer.dustin said:Thanks Desertrat!
The GPS worked out awesome. I now have an index card on my Civic's dash with a chart written on it telling me my indicated speed and my actual speed.
Turns out it is definately a percentage thing because from 35-45mph the speedo is off by 2mph. Then from 45-55mph it's off by 3mph, and 55-65 its off 4mph...and so on...
Thermal imaging, GPS, SATCOM TX/RX, deployable locator beacon??????itsbob said:Got the autocom hooked up with the XM radio.. Radio just mounted with velcro to the tank for now, have to buy a shelf or RAM mount for the permanent fix, but it sounds GOOD!! Can take cell calls, and listen to music while I ride, maybe add on more later, but this is fine and dandy for now!!
