Temp= 25 degrees
Wind = 60 mph on ride home
Wind Chill = 3 degrees, = F That, put it on trailer!
60 mph?
On the V, break-in was limited to 4k rpm for 500 miles. Turned out that was about 85 it 6th gear.
According to this, it was about -9 windchill for my ride to breakfast last Saturday.

That's one cold-ass place. Hit the home page for current temp and wind chill.

Wind chill only effects exposed skin.. dress well, and the FJ has some good weather protection.. I'd ride.
Not true. It's the rate at which you'll loose heat. A coat that will block the wind and keep you warm at 30 won't keep you warm riding at 65 (10 degree wind chill).

Yeah, the Madi Gras beads. They must be kinda new.
Dont remember them but then again I haven't been to Sturgis since 1986. I hear tell it's changed some. Guess the ladies were just easier back then. :lmao:
I don't even get how that's biker related. Didn't that start at Mardi Gras and was just borrowed by a slew of other functions?

Better not, BG told him she bought all those beads. :lmao:
For the record, that is NOT how I got all mine on New Years Eve in Key West three or four years ago. :huggy:

Zippin' along at 5-100+ mph with nothing protecting you except a riding suit(insert your preference here) is inherently a dangerous thing to do.
:smack: Real riders (the ones that the quiz-makers had in mind) don't wear riding suits (or helmets for that matter).

Blocking (not breaking) wind is the important part. If you wear denim, your legs are going to be cold, it's too porous, but if you wear something like a plastic rain suit over the denim that's not porous, you'll be much warmer, as the wind isn't going to get to your skin.

If you are sitting behind a fairing doesn't matter what the wind chill is, IF the fairing blocks the wind (ie pushing a barn door).. it will still be 30 where your upper body is.

Would breaking wind keep the rider behind you warmer?

That's why I had (insert your preference here). For some it's full factory style racing leathers others its jeans and a t-shirt. Been to a few rallys where the birthday suit was the choice of a few riders.

Handful for hooters....

I do believe that is the tradition of the mardi gras bead. You flash the crowd, they shower the woman with beads. I have found I can collect them if I put my shirt BACK ON!!
