Personally I'm not laughing. How can we expect these girls to respect and love themselves for what they are inside when they are being taken from salon to salon to have their outsides "perfected"? Say hello to anorexia, drug abuse and who knows what else as they search for what makes them feel good about themselves.
When they're kids; no. it's not funny. These girls are being brainwashed to believe looks are most important.. .cause you're not going to nab a rich doctor or famous football player if you don't have your bikini line waxed!
But the airheads they grow up to be?...:dork:

Geez My wife shaves under her arms ,shaves her legs, does her own nails and toenails beautifully, has never had a bikini wax and at 60 she probably never will. I sure hope she doesnt read this she might start calling me a cheap bastid.

A girl 11 years old getting the hairs removed from her lower privates is a little more preparation than I feel an 11 year old needs. Do you give her birth control pills too?

As someone posted earlier, punjabigyrl has to be an mpd - or more likely someone having "fun" with the tread. :coffee:

I don't see anything wrong with waxing. Depends on if they(girls) have gotten thier periods then, YES they do get hair etc. My daughter at 11 gets her arms, legs, upperlip, underarms and bikini waxed. I do give her an at home acne facial due to the fact that she does get acne. She will not get a manicure/pedicure and eyebrows plucked till shes 16 or 18.

Somehow I doubt your daughter is going to wait until she's 16 (18 ) to get her eyebrows waxed if she's already allowed (at age 11) to get her bikini waxed :smack:

She will be getting a brazilian next month. she dislikes nail polish etc. If she says she'd like to get a meni/pedi etc. I will be glad to treat her to an all day spa with me once a month.

:faint:....geez, why not a sphinx?! :sarcasm:

The eyebrows are too extreme for an 11 year old. :sarcasm: Since the area around her eyes will be red for a little while, it is unacceptable b/c people can readily see it.

Well she is PunjabiGirl and obviously an indian. Maybe they are some furry critters? Though I must say getting a Brazilian wax for a little girls seems more than a bit...sexually twisted. Who is she prepping her for?

at 11 yrs old, why the h#$$ does she even know what a brazilian is!!! you have some serious issues that you are passing on to your daughter!

:yeahthat: Getting her ready to sell??? Sick people. :faint:

No, she's real. Trust me :boxorox:

Someone should yank her parent card then. I don't know of any child that would feel comfortable having their vagina laden with hot wax then YANKED, much less touched willingly by a stranger at that age.

Even if the child is maturing physically in a fast manner, it doesn't mean she is emotionally.

My daughter is about to turn 11 and though she loves doing her nails she's not in to other make up, and (as she puts it) she gets highlights for free during softball season.

In some cultures it's considered "hygeine" for women to remove all superfulous body hair and has nothing to do with being sexually active. Now are all these women mentioned in the article from said cultures? Uh, umm, probably not.

I KNOW I am not being considerate of culture and "hygeine" practices. I just know how I feel.

I was thinking more along the Punjab/Indian thing but will go with the Box-O-Rox...

She dodged my question about her "dealings" with foreign real-estate deals and taxes.

Either way at 11 I am pretty sure she does not look like she has Chewbacca in a scissor lock.

Yea, some animal cultures also surgically remove the clitoris. Doesn't make it right.

:smack: Did you have to go there:faint:

:yeahthat:

We are talking about grooming standards, not bodily mutilation.

Some cultures don't use deodorant, shave legs/underarms, leave their unibrow intact, etc. and in others both men and women wax off said hair. And hot wax is a western thing- most eastern cultures use sugar/honey based depilitories that are nowhere near as painful.

I started shaving my bag when I was 9.

And it still gleams in the sunlight with the smoothness of silk on glass.
