You know, Maher is often spot on with a lot of stuff --
But - come on - a handful of social media stuff, a hundred thousand spent, and it was enough to sway an election one way or the other?
Consider the fact that EACH CAMPAIGN spent close to a **BILLION DOLLARS** .
If either of them could have swung an election of - what did he say - 77,000 votes in a few key states and ONLY SPENT $100,000 - with the huge campaign staff they each have - wouldn't they have DONE that?
I mean, damn, either the Russians are the freaking smartest creatures ever to grace the universe - or Trump AND Clinton's campaign staff are the world's STUPIDEST -
Or the entire idea that a handful of guys on social media could turn an election with a little propaganda and a little social media - and a ridiculously TINY BUDGET - is completely - utterly - well - ridiculous. Maher routinely lampoons all of religion as absurd on its face, because it doesn't make sense to him. But this - does?
Hell, *I* should try that. C'mon! Let me PICK an election. Give me one hundred thousand bucks, and I'll elect Bei Bei the panda President.
Consider the ridiculous idea that a BILLIONAIRE needed to PAY a handful of RUSSIANS to do something ANYONE ELSE COULD DO.

Now Maher - he hates Trump. He hates religion and he's not a big fan of conservatives or the right wing. He does get a lot right, but he's totally blind when it comes to subjects he's obsessively hateful over.

Bill Maher is back to bashing his side of the aisle with another New Rules segment that probably caused the woke Left to explode. The comedian was aghast at the surge in antisemitism, not that he was naïve in thinking it never existed. It is the world’s oldest form of bigotry, but this wave is different. Social media has made it easier for certain things to spread, like a virus, but Maher added that this was like a volcano going off. Maher said that the young people who are screaming for Jews to be killed have become like the neo-Nazis who were rightfully bashed for their tiki torch antics at the Unite the Right rally in Charlottesville, Virginia, six years ago.
He then directed his fire at the woke Left, hurling their worldview into the furnace and once again exposing their appalling grasp of history. Maher isn’t a conservative, but you can tell he’s had it with the woke Left. From the get-go, you knew progressives weren’t going to like the commentary when he defended Israel, namely that the world would be better if there were more nations like it in the world, including the United States. He was taking a blowtorch to the idiotic left-wing take that Israel is a colonizing state and an outpost of Western civilization in the Middle East.

“I endorsed the idea,” Maher told Phillips in reference to him entering the race to challenge Biden, “because I did an editorial a couple weeks ago calling [Biden] Ruth Bader Biden. And look, we both struggle with the same thing. We like Joe Biden, right? And we think he’s done a good job. Ruth Bader Ginsburg did a good job and did not know when to quit, and that’s why you’re here.”
“And it’s not like others are doing this in a — sort of a — shadow campaign,” Maher chuckled. “I mean, Gavin Newsom, our governor, seems to be all over the world.”
“You know, they’re going to the battleground states in the primary — they’re really doing it, but I feel like at least you are honest, and you’re saying, ‘No, I’m gonna do it.’ Just do it.”
Phillips said that he tried to encourage Michigan Democratic Governor Gretchen Whitmer to primary Biden, but his attempts were unsuccessful.
“And she’s one of those who’s running a shadow campaign,” Maher fired back.

When Maher argued that inflation is not that severe, Michaels responded, "Bill, go buy a car, a house has tripled here, buy some f-----g eggs!"
