Birth Control Options

She isn't going to find an undetectable birth control without hormones. And even if she could, she would eventually get "caught" and then imagine the blowout from that. Dishonesty is not the answer.

She needs to sit him down and say something like "Look, we have 4 kids and it takes all my time and energy to raise them right. I simply cannot handle anymore children. I'm sorry if that disappoints you and goes against your religious wishes. However, you need to step back and take a look at this from my point of view. I don't want to have more children and end up resentful of them because I didn't want them in the first place. That's not fair to the child. It's also not fair to me and my body to force your religious beliefs on me. You're not the one that has to go through the pregnancy or deal with most of the raising them, so I need you to respect my wishes."

If he's a jerk and leaves her, we'll see how much he likes having all those kids once the child support amount gets handed down to him. :yay:

See...

...I feel completely naive. How is it possible that a woman, with 4 kids no less, choosing to use birth control, sees it as a betrayal of her husband, because he wants to have more kids?

If she stopped using birth control without his knowledge, OK, that's wrong because you're adding something.

If she went and got an abortion against his wishes, that's a problem. You're taking something away.

If she wouldn't have any kids at all and they'd agreed before marriage that they wanted kids, that's a problem. You've gone back on the understanding.

I guess he believes contraception is abortion? Or they have a rather...straightforward sex life?

I think she should divorce the prick. If he wants to have control over her body like that, she is better off without him. If he can't even watch his OWN DAMN KIDS for a few hours so she can have some "off" time, then he's not even a worthy father anyways.

talk with him; either wear a condom or pull out  , if he's against BC; otherwise she should make a decision she feels is best for her....

Wait! You may be onto something!

Crab, what if she gains a whole bunch of weight and refuses to shower? Tosses on some spandex bike shorts for good measure? Then the hubby will be so repulsed he won't want to have sex, and her problem will be solved. :yay:

DAD:
There are Jews in the world.
There are Buddhists.
There are Hindus and Mormons, and then
There are those that follow Mohammed, but
I've never been one of them.

I'm a Roman Catholic,
And have been since before I was born,
And the one thing they say about Catholics is:
They'll take you as soon as you're warm.

You don't have to be a six-footer.
You don't have to have a great brain.
You don't have to have any clothes on. You're
A Catholic the moment Dad came,

Because

Every sperm is sacred.
Every sperm is great.
If a sperm is wasted,
God gets quite irate.

CHILDREN:
Every sperm is sacred.
Every sperm is great.
If a sperm is wasted,
God gets quite irate.

GIRL:
Let the heathen spill theirs
On the dusty ground.
God shall make them pay for
Each sperm that can't be found.

CHILDREN:
Every sperm is wanted.
Every sperm is good.
Every sperm is needed
In your neighbourhood.

MUM:
Hindu, Taoist, Mormon,
Spill theirs just anywhere,
But God loves those who treat their
Semen with more care.

MEN:
Every sperm is sacred.
Every sperm is great.
WOMEN:
If a sperm is wasted,...
CHILDREN:
...God get quite irate.

PRIEST:
Every sperm is sacred.
BRIDE and GROOM:
Every sperm is good.
NANNIES:
Every sperm is needed...
CARDINALS:
...In your neighbourhood!

CHILDREN:
Every sperm is useful.
Every sperm is fine.
FUNERAL CORTEGE:
God needs everybody's.
MOURNER #1:
Mine!
MOURNER #2:
And mine!
CORPSE:
And mine!

NUN:
Let the Pagan spill theirs
O'er mountain, hill, and plain.
HOLY STATUES:
God shall strike them down for
Each sperm that's spilt in vain.

EVERYONE:
Every sperm is sacred.
Every sperm is good.
Every sperm is needed
In your neighbourhood.

Every sperm is sacred.
Every sperm is great.
If a sperm is wasted,
God gets quite iraaaaaate!

Not too talkative
Just wondering

when they were getting married, did he tell her of his religious concerns on procreation. Did she agree to these terms. or bleieve them herself back then. Or did she figure she could change him as time goes on?

If she decides to use birth control with out telling him, then she should probably get a laywer on retainer.
