I gave links to Black History in the very first post of this thread,

and I do not feel it is really my place to give the Black History since I am a white man.

I feel more comfortable in adding the white history in with the Black History because many Blacks do not give the white history in their reports.

And I do not hate white people or white history, but I do hate what the whites did to the Africans.

I feel it is important to speak for our white crimes and our white sins.

I really do not have any way to end my disabilities because my injuries just will not go away.

I have been poked and jabbed and inspected by Doctors and fancy equiptments and my injuries have been discussed in Courts before Judges and it seems I am quite stuck with my Disability status.

In many ways I do not much like it myself because I had a job at Calvert Cliffs Nuclear Power Plant making a fair amount of money and I had a powerful and interesting job as a Maintenance Inspector, but now I have a small budget and many limitations.

If I still had that old job of mine then I would have been able to recruit a lot more votes, and I would have far more money for campaigning, and it would look better as a Candidate on the ballot by having that kind of CCNPP job, and if I still want to run again in the future then that kind of employment would help me in the future.

In many ways my Disability is a fancy kind of jail, where the gov keeps a hold on me.

If the creeps on here actually get me thrown off of the system then I might well be grateful to them because I can not bring myself to do that to myself.

I believe that God will provide and I am willing to accept that in any event.

But for now I do not know what I can do with myself and have not yet figured out any thing.

God helps those who help themselves, Jimmy. God doesn't provide sustenance anymore (unless you've seen bread falling from the sky lately). God provides you with the tools to help yourself.

Since you cannot figure out what to do with yourself, let MMDad, myself, and a host of others repeat to you - apply at WalMart. They let greeters stand, sit, walk around, whatever your current need is (since you say you can't do any ONE of those things for any time). Thus, you can provide for yourself without taking handouts.

What's your excuse not to (I know you'll have one)?

I am white. My family owned slaves in Virginia and North Carolina. I have nothing to apologize for. Nor does anybody else in this thread (except you, JPC).

If there is going to be Black History Month, then I want White History Month. And Yellow History Month. Chinese laborers were enslaved to build the inter-continental railways, and many of them died due to exhaustion. Where is their month?

This above is an example of white bigotry and slander (or Plantation mentality as I see it) that the pompous white-boy sees blacks as being on welfare, getting free food, ignorant, lazy, and it is just the traditional white racist slander against the African Americans.

The truth is that far more whites are on welfare, and citizens (black or white) (male or female) are not eligible for any welfare unless they have custody of children or have disabilities, except for a short three (3) month temporary public assistance of food stamps.

It is difficult to qualify for welfare or any public assistance unless one really needs it.

The white folks are stiff and tight with any of their so-called "hand outs" and "charities".

I enjoy hearing about the african americans that gave something to this country to improve it, but do I feel there has to be a month dedicated to Black History...the answer is no.

Well Black History Month does teach about Black History, and otherwise we only get the white prejudiced crud that pretends to be history.

JPC, I am not trying to start an argument. I was merely stating my opinion. I am not ashamed oh my past. I think my 3rd or 4th great grandfather on my mom's side owned seven slaves once upon a time. I am not going to feel bad about it. Why should I? How can you even compare that kind of crime to something like slavery? Blacks are not the only people that have been enslaved. Look at the poor Jews, I bet they wished like hell they had a Jewish history month. My best friend is jewish and she is proud of her heritage. Hey Jimmy, I pulled up some images from different civil rights marches during the '60s. Look what I found: Selma; Washington, D.C.; Seattle. There is also a time when people must admit that repeatedly dredging up old wounds does nothing but refresh pain and separation, and move on to create something better. That's different than, say, your family's past that you continue to disown, including the torment that you directly and intentionally acted onto your son.

Slavery was criminal and sinful brutality.

That claim pretends that the whites blessed the Africans slaves because otherwise the whites would never had let the Blacks enter the USA except as slaves.

If it were not for the African slavery then the conquest and exploitation of the Americas by the whites would not have been so dynamic, there would not have been the US Civil War, no President Lincoln or Republican Party no Getysburg address, and no improvementment of civil rights under the great American Martin Luther King Jr.

It was the African slavery that blessed the white population and NOT the other way around, and I say us whites need to start showing some real appreciation and gratitude instead of the ignorant denials and untrue self-white-glorifications.

When I read the Autobiography of Malcolm X link HERE then he explained how the white slave holders were in fact raping the female Africans and calling it anything less then rape is just not true.

I never looked at it that way myself until Malcolm X told it to me in his book because at that time I was too indoctrinated with the whiteous untruths that the black slaves were some how treated well.

Malcolm X even told how his own light complextion came from the white rape of his great grand mother.

So comparing crimes like assult and rape to slavery is really very mild in denouncing the full reality of the white crimes against the Africans.

Some whites committed those crimes, not all whites. Some whites were better to their slaves than they would or could have been to employees, not all whites.

Regardless, slavery was and is wrong, and was eliminated a century and a half ago, and really has no more bearing on people's lives today than any other ancestor's actions from 150+ years ago. We can't change what our ancestors did. I know of no one at all who does not acknowledge slavery was wrong, and I know of no one who endorses discrimination (except, of course, for Affirmative Action programs). Black History Month is about so much more than slavery. White history consists of so much more than owning and (at times and places) being slaves, too.

Get over yourself.
