Do you not recognize the fact that many black folks like myself have different tastes in entertainment than most other americans? We (as in all of us) have network TV, PPV, Movie networks ETC which play subject matter to please mainly white america. If you want a W.E.T which plays all white entertainmenmt because you can't get enough of it on every other channlel that exists than band together and fight for it. I could give a rats a@@.

Yes, TV is mostly geared toward entertaining white america, but from a business stand point it makes sence, since the majority (at the moment) is white. As things and populations have changed, so too has the programming.

We have racial tension in our country because certain races don't really want equality. What's "equal" about establishing a quota system for hiring to fill jobs? What's equal about having to provide your ethnicity on a mortgage application? You know damn good and well if there was a "white entertainment channel", Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton would be pounding the pavement in protest and all over the news about the ongoing injustices caused by 'ol whitey.

Wouldn't these "certain races" actually be sub races since we are all part of the human race???

Repeating your quote with the truth - In the same light, your people have been stealing (from blacks, native americans, middle easterners, etc), killing, robbing banks (stealing from yourselves because you own the banks - now that's bad), car jacking, beating and raping (blacks, native americans, etc.) for years. Why do you think we might not trust you?

Read your history, this is documented proof of what your people have done.

Now I can not blame every white person for what's happened in the past. That would be stupid, you have to move forward in life to get ahead. Remember that blacks are about 12% of the total population of the US. So all this cr@p you are writing is not totally true. Blacks, whites, hispanics, orientals committ all the same offenses above. You must get all your information from the television and probably never picked up a book in your entire life.

What if a person has native American ancestry but appears to be white?
As far as blame goes, it is hard to blame early American history on anyone in the generations starting from the baby boomers.

Yes...yet almost all of the criticism coming at Obama is based on his race, connections on the topic of race, etc. Racism will be over when that kind of thing doesn't even have to be acknowledged in smear campaigns. Presidential timber, certainly, but both Powell and Rice (whom I respect very much for their achievements) have both been adamant in denying presidential aims.

Almost all criticism concerning Obama is in regards to his character (or lack thereof), his votes, when he does vote (which are the most liberal in the Senate), his positions (which change daily) or his wife who can't keep her mouth shut but is off limits to criticism when she says something stupid.

Obama is the one throwing the race card early, loudly and often. Sorry bud, but this is a contest for the top prize. If you have to hide behind the black half of your heritage, and can't run on your merits, just maybe you shouldn't be running for office.

Well as a matter of fact, I am black (well 1/2) but I would be considered black by most. I agree 101% with you point about most Television is geared towards white America.. Believe me I feel your plight. But IMO B.E.T does very little to for the black community. The B.E.T Awards, spring bling, 106 & park and Rap city mostly reinforce negative stereotypes... I'm nothing like 90% of the people on B.E.T, but some how that’s how that’s suppose to be Entertainment for me... Hell, my five your old daughter is not even allowed to watch most music videos that B.E.T airs. I wouldn’t want her to think that those little girls portrayed in most of the videos are what black women are suppose to be. Since we (black people) control such a small percentage of the media market, I feel we should be more responsible about what we air/broadcast....

That rather sums up television in general. I really had to be careful on what I let my kids watch when they were younger. Television has spiraled downward to hell in a hurry.
