A BN store is around the corner here, and I love going in there.

Maybe you should go hang out there today.

What is your problem, anyway? You whined about this area the whole time you lived here and couldn't wait to leave. Now you're there and you still whine and complain. What the hell do you care? It no longer impacts your life. Why do you have such a problem with other people being content, even happy with what they have?

Not whining and complaining, just speaking the truth.

And as for your last comment, people often get lulled into just accepting what they have and not wanting more. If everyone had this mentality, we would all be driving Model-T's still instead of Z3s :cheesy:

I like that about book stores, too. I've stumbled across quite a few in BB.

What does that have to do with anything? In my 4 years there, a took enough trips to Waldorf to go to Borders books to realize that Bay books sucks. We would always laugh first, then stop into bay books on the way to Borders just for sh!ts and giggles to see if they had what we wanted. Everytime it ended with us driving to Waldorf. No reason to support the local business if they suck. Instead of humping the owner's leg because he is the only private book store in the area, how about demanding a little more from them? The place could be twice the size it is now, thus making it more convenient and they still wouldn't lose the "hometown" feel.

Your opinion.

My opinion of you, based on this thread and your posts - one word: icky.

If we were being lulled into anything, we'd never go anywhere else to look for books. I'm sure anyone that has been to BB has also been to Borders, or any number of other book stores. You make it sound like people who go to small book stores don't have enough sense to go anywhere else.

I order online alot, but I'd rather GO to Barnes and Nobles or Borders or any bookstore just for the feeling of being surrounded by books. :geek:

I avoid the book sections at Target and Walmart, the selections are just insulting.

Nah, you're not a geek. :huggy:

I am one of the floor sitters at the book store. I plop down and flip thru them, reading here and there, and I enjoy doing that. I know, I know, some people really hate having to step over me, but what is nice about Boarder's is they have chairs everywhere. However, the prices are high compared to other bookstores I've noticed.

I didn't like Bay Books, I'm such a bad bad man... Spank me.

And because you dislike it, you think everyone else should, too. You never miss an opportunity to say something negative about this area. You're a selfish, spoiled ass.

Well then count me as a geek! I love going to Barnes and Noble and Borders! I love the smell of all those books...it's a cool place to hang out! And I always walk out with some other little treasure in addition to whatever I went in there for.

When I lived in somd...I loved Bay Books. Yes, the selection is small, but it's a quaint place and the folks were always great and would get you whatever you needed. If there was something specific I was looking for, I tended to travel to Waldorf...but when I was shopping for a gift or just wanted to peruse a bookstore....Bay Books was great! :yay:

No, just people find as we did it is kind of a pain to have to drive 40 minutes to a bookstore :ohwell:

It's a pain to drive 40 minutes to a book store and find out they don't have what you're looking for either.
