Like that would be any different than going to Bay Books now.

And as for Kain's response, it sure is nice to be the only bookstore in town. With no competition, you can offer a sh!tty product and people will still show up. Nothing against the private stores, but that one is just pathetic. Even in the small town of roanoke, we had private bookstores that were actually bigger than a closet :ohwell:
And wow, even when books a million and BN opened, they stayed in business as well.
My parents lived in Roanoke for years. I spent a great deal of time there visiting them, before they passed away. There is nothing 'small' about it. And to compare it to this area is just lame. Try comparing it to Va. Beach. That isn't even a good comparison, but it's closer then St. Marys.

Suz', he thinks we were all born here and have never been anywhere.

:yeahthat: I was just about to suggest that one. I hear it's pretty good.
Same but different, Bay Books blows and at the one on Shangri La Drive you can get bl............. Oh never mind.

I have no need for either store. I will go online or to a real book store in Waldork.

Okay, giving you the benefit of the doubt (I don't know why because after reading your postings for awhile I think you twist things around to make you believe you know something), I did a search for "Roanoke City, VA" and all I came up with is Roanoke, VA. This site ( http://www.city-data.com/city/Roanoke-Virginia.html ) classified it as a city too so check it out and then explain exactly where the Roanoke you refer to is.

Roanoke County is around 90k. Roanoke city is around 90k. St. Marys county around 90k. Virginia Beach around 450k.

So even if you're talking about the city, since when was 90k a big city?

ST, you can paint it any color you want, but the fact remains that no matter where you are you will still be miserable, pathetic and lonely and you want to convince everyone else that they're just like you. Misery loves company.
Again, how does my life have any correlation to the fact bay books sucks? See, people know they just have to hate me because I didn't fall in love with somd. Why they should hate me, they don't really know, but they know it to be the case.

We don't care that you didn't fall in love with southern md. We hate the fact that you try to shed a bad light on it at any given opportunity. Not everybody is like you, nor would they want to be. You seem to think because you don't like southern md, that no one else should, and if we do like southern md, there must be something wrong with us.

Follow the conversation, ST.
I have. I don't see how bay books can dictate my life. Peope didn't say how nice and great of a person I must be because I enjoyed solomons island, but If i say something bad (and I wasn't the only one) I'm a miserable person?

Again, people making umbrella statements. Like I said, there is a lot of talk about somd happenings on here that I talk with people about the positives. But yes, when something does suck I say that to. And this isn't "somd bashing" , this is bashing a single store. If the store was around the corner from me right now, I would have the exact same thing to say about it.

Yes, you are a miserable person. You have been the "bash southern md" ring leader since the day you signed on to somd.com. If you have an opinion, great. Your problem is you can't just put your opinion out there and let it go. You have to try to convince everyone else that they are wrong because they dont' agree with you.

Please show me where I have spent an entire thread trying to convince someone that something sucks, besides this thread, where I'm trying to convince ST that he sucks.

I LOVE Wonder Book and Video! Tons of OLD books too! I collect Zane Grey novels and was able to get old editions (1940's printings) there.

I never said "you spent an entire thread trying to convince someone that something sucks" and I don't have time to wade through the 4,317 pieces of crap you have left behind as posts on this forum just to make a point that is well known. You are a miserable person. If you have an opinion, great. Your problem is you can't just put your opinion out there and let it go. You have to try to convince everyone else that they are wrong because they dont' agree with you
