NEW YORK - An aircraft crashed into a high-rise apartment building on Manhattan's Upper East Side in New York City on Thursday, NBC News reported. There were conflicting reports about whether it was an airplane or a chopper.

Hey, I'm swamped at work and clueless to anything around me here in DC if this is a repeat of another 9/11. Can someone please keep me informed if I need to evacuate from DC again? :frown: Please pm me and I can give you my email address??? Can someone do me this favor and keep me in the loop if something is going on from NY and then something happening in DC like last time??? I'm really under the gun with bosses all day and havn't read anything but I check in here on occassion and havn't even read the thread all the way, let alone any links... also its evaluation week and I don't want this on my screen as my bosses are walking by evaluating me. Thanks if anyone can do this for me :huggy: :flowers:

Some lady on tv says ity a small 4 seater like plane , it sounds like it was a real accident. She said she was on the phone when she saw the plane, said the wing dipped, then seemed to level off and dissapeared. Then she heard the news. People trapped inside. I personally dont think we need to panic.

It's being reported that it was a fixed wing aircraft and the pilot was not in touch, flying visually and not terrorist related.

...how do you 'accidentally' fly into a building? Even if you have engine failure, you'd still have to choose to hit the building.

Maybe a suicide?
