Did I have an omen? Went to bed about 12:30am this morning and heard about 8 acft cracking through the sky leaving Andrews. Thought to myself either something big is going on OR they are just deploying to another base. Now heard the initial reporting on this event and just had to ask myself if ?someone? knew something was impending behand. My how ones mind can wonder at the unknown in this day and age. I have now returned to normal thinking but sure hope I don't hear them again tonight.

Just got off the phone with my NY helicopter cop friend - he wondered how I heard about it. :lmao: Anyway, his words were "crazy idiot" and acted as if it was part of everyday city life.

1 in plane, 1 on ground, 2 in building...
Aint that some shiat. Sitting in your 35th floor apartment, drinking a beer and playing Madden 2007 on your PS2 in your underwear and a damn airplane crashes into your pad.

I bet they were hoping, "Why not A-Rod?"

Right...

I'm a fan (not a huge one) of the New York Yankees. I was watching the terror as it unfolded on MSNBC (who did a fantastic job with Tucker, Chris and Keith). I went into tears when I heard it was Corey Lidle.

I don't think it was suicide but strange irony. From what eyewittnesses report, the thing went over the Hudson. I think it had a mechanical problem and human error led to the crash.

Oddly enough, this isn't the first time.

On August 2, 1979, Thurman Munson was killed in a plane crash.

It'sa just remarkable that more people weren't killed but we'll all miss Corey Lidle.

It didn't help.........
They were talking about the parachute on the news yesterday. They said that in all of the crashes with this plane, the parachute has not been used.
