Not the purjury part -- cheating on your wife is not a federal crime. It should have never gone before the grand jury is my opinion. Higher standards or not -- he was faced with a few temptations and could't resist. I don't think I believe Paula Jones either. sorry.

Where's the talking points memo?

It doesn't matter whether you believe her or not. She was within her rights to file a lawsuit. And, as a U.S. citizen, she was due her day in court. Discovery is one of the tools used to gain information leading up to trial. As a member of any bar should know, lying under oath is perjury, but I'm sure you know that.

Yes, I agree with everything you have said... but in my OPINION I think Paula Jones had mixed motives. and yes lying under oath is perjury - I don't see any argument thier.

Yeah, Clinton probably paid her all that settlement money out of the goodness of his heart. :duh:

cheating on your wife is not a federal crime.
No, but committing perjury and getting others to do it on your behalf IS.

And one more time, just for good measure, since the Clinton apologists want to keep ignoring the facts:

------------------------------------------
Paula Jones filed a sexual harrassment charge against Bill Clinton.

Upon investigating whether this case had any merit or not, Inependent Counsel tried to find out if there was a history of sexual harrassment of subordinates on Clinton's part.

Monica Lewinsky's name came up during interviews with White House employees.

IC interviewed Lewinsky, who lied in a sworn affidavit.

Linda Tripp produced taped conversations with Lewinsky, admitting that she lied and asking Tripp to do the same.

Clinton testifies UNDER OATH that he didn't have sexual relations with Lewinsky.

The "blue dress" gets tested and Clinton produces a DNA sample.

IC sends a report to Congress with evidence of impeachable offenses by Clinton.

House Judiciary says, "Yup, there's a problem" and impeachment proceedings begin.
------------------------------------------

So this wasn't about Clinton cheating - this was about Clinton using state troopers to sexually harrass a government employee, then lying about it under oath to deny this woman her day in court. YOU may not have been paying attention but I WAS.

Well Ken I think we both can agree on something -- dems only focus on the negatives of republicans and vice versa with republicans only focusing on the worst of dems -- and thereby any and all good things are just thrown out the window. Kind of like throwing the baby out with the bath water.

It would be really nice if just for one day on these forums we all just wished eachother a nice day and no mean words or UFB's came out or anything like that ... hmmmm. maybe that would happen if I don't post for a day???...:roflmao:

Eitherway we can start this -- do you have anything nice to say about Clinton? If so, maybe I can muster up something nice to say about Bush. :cheesy:

Kerry sucks. He's a liar and a wuss. He's dropped the F-bomb in interviews, which shows immaturity and a lack of respect. To me, he's the ugly step-brother of Bill Clinton - no morals, no couth, no maturity, no common sense, no fidelity, no love for his country and no respect for our military men and women. He thinks you're stupid - stupid enough to vote for him - which is why he says the ignorant things he does, even though he knows they're not true.

Hell no, during the whole ordeal that he put the nation through I was on here arguing "innocent until proven guilty" and telling people to wait for the facts. When the facts came out it was clear that he had no problem lying in a courtroom. If you'll lie there, you will lie anywhere.

Why do you have such a problem with people voicing their opinion? Is that a Democrat thing? If you want to only hear people wish you a nice day, take a walk down the street and get started - don't try to squelch free speech on here.

do you have anything nice to say about Clinton?
No. He killed 3,000 people just as sure as if he'd have flown those planes himself. He cheapened our country and demeaned our people. He destroyed the Democratic Party and turned it into the ugly mess it is today.

No, I don't have anything nice to say about Bill Clinton.

I don't have a problem with anyone voicing their opinion -- I keep hoping some day republicans and dems would unite in one way or another. We are both human beings after all.

They did - on the Iraqi War Resolution. Then the Dems promptly forgot all that and went back to their Bush-hatred mantra.
