And this is based on????Do you want to also know everytime he took a leak or a crap? or used the GD word or wasn't able to make church on Sundays, what he had for lunch and dinner too? Sex is just a normal thing - yes, it was a bad judgement on his part but we all have had bad judgements in life. His was totally blown out of proportion -- "its not like he was getting a BJ from an Iraqi secret agent -- you've gotta admire the boy -- he kept it all in house!!!" (last part was from Wanda Sykes - "Tongue Untied" DVD).
You said different strokes for different folks -- maybe that would best describe the Clinton sexcapade - different strokes, let it go and it's none of our business.
Back to the second question I asked -- would you still have posted that if Kerry was in office -- different strokes and that all is good in the world, etc..???

I'm glad you found that amusing but I think being unfaithful to your wife is something private and personal. We can go around and around on this but I don't have time for that. I do have a question for you though -- I see you live in Maine -- how'd you hear about somd.com in Maine?

Come on now, you know one does not mean the other -- its called mutual exclusivity - just because he does one thing does not in any way mean he's cheating on his country as well. We are talking two entirely different things. Give me a break!

Back in May -- but we've danced this dance before y'all just said when Bush referred to "Mission Accomplished" he was either referring to the boat's name or the people that were returning from war -- not actually implying to all American people that the war was over - talk about symatics!!! :cheesy:
Sorry, I wasn't here then and the people here obviously did a poor job in debating it. I'm assuming you're referring to the speech on the USS Lincoln? Bush never said mission accomplished either. Here's what he said:

"Admiral Kelly, Captain Card, officers and sailors of the USS Abraham Lincoln, my fellow Americans, major combat operations in Iraq have ended. In the battle of Iraq, the United States and our allies have prevailed.

And now our coalition is engaged in securing and reconstructing that country.
...
We have difficult work to do in Iraq. We're bringing order to parts of that country that remain dangerous. We're pursuing and finding leaders of the old regime who will be held to account for their crimes. We've begun the search for hidden chemical and biological weapons, and already know of hundreds of sites that will be investigated. "

Here's the transcript if you want to try to find some ammo.

Why is it that the left is always trying to put words into Bush's mouth...i.e. "mission accomplished" and "imminent threat". If you want to debate, debate with facts. To do otherwise just makes you look like a fool.

Dems is full of sh*t - nobody on here ever said anything like that. You'll find that she has a rather creative bent to her.

Angel, you don't have to apologize for name-calling - Dems is the biggest name-caller on here. However, that's what she does when she's losing an argument - accuses people of doing the things she does.

mutual exclusivity
Dems, the definition of a loser is they're still kneeling at the Temple of Clinton and making excuses for his criminal behavior. I can't even believe you said that.

Yes, I believe they did -- when I get some time today I'll try to find the thread where a few republicans implied that Misson Accomplished was directed at the people returning home. Have a good day vrai.

I said that because just because the guy does one thing does not directly imply that he will do something completely different. I can't believe that you think that way -- its not some sort of cause and effect where he'll cheat on his wife and next he'll cheat on the country.

Dishonesty and infidelity are the same, regardless of what situation a person is in. A liar and a cheat is a liar and a cheat - we have no reason to believe this was an isolated incident.

Besides, the ol' "He's not a liar and a cheat" is soooo '90s. The new mantra is "Who cares? Everyone lies and cheats." Didn't you get your Democrat talking points memo?

Vrai you are talking in circles... my point was exactly that "who cares" -- no more than we cared as to how many times he pizzed and craped during the day and its just none of our business. :bankhead:

No didn't get the talking points memo -- please pdf a copy and pm me with it as soon as you are done drafting it. I'd really enjoy reading your version of one.

And here's Ken King
“Mission Accomplished” - Somehow the media and anti-war types have spun this to death and wrongly associated this to mean that the war was over and won.

The battle group that the USS Lincoln was a part of was absolutely correct when they flew that banner. For them (the battle group) they had successfully accomplished their assigned task. They were returning to home port after meeting the objectives assigned. By definition, that is “Mission Accomplished”.

Well...me. I care. You might think that lying and cheating is the same as taking a crap but I don't. Maybe that's the difference between Democrats and Republicans.

Dems... it comes down to honor, respect, and morality.

We assume that Clinton stood in front of God and many witnesses when he married Hillary and vowed "forsake all others".

Obviously, he didn't do that, and if he lied and cheated about that, what does that say about his code of ethics and code of honor?

If you lie and cheat and lie and cheat and lie and cheat and lie, and then you tell the truth, do you think people are supposed to believe you?

Clinton was a liar and a cheater, and regardless of what party he was in, I wouldn't want someone up there leading our country if I had good reason to believe he was going to stand up on the podium and lie right in the face of everyone watching, especially if it was about a subject that had no bearing on national security.

I'm saying he's not the only one in America that cheated on his wife. That is nothing more than :deadhorse . He just happend to commit purjury to a grand jury. I don't think it should have escalated to that level. It was no one's business. No one is perfect Vrai -- sorry.

So what? THEY'RE not our President - Clinton was and therefore is held to a higher standard. If he didn't want that responsibility, he shouldn't have run.

How can you say it was nobody's business when it was a federal crime?!?!?!?!? And when he lied to cover up his sexual harrassment of Paula Jones? Or do you think young Arkansas women deserve to be treated like that?

You're amazing, you really are.
