I'm sorry to hear that BSGal is gone. I had wondered about her since I haven't seen her post in a while.

My condolences Desertrat. I found BSGirl (Melanie) to be a classy lady in every post, even (and especially) when she spoke her mind. Thanks for the pictures. It's good to have a face to put with the memory.

Tom,
I sit here at work crying for you. Glad you're doing OK now and if you need anything, you know how to get in touch with me. I have known Melly for 20 years, and she'll forever be in my heart. You and Mikey hold tight to each other, because as you know so well, everything could change tomorrow. She touched everybody that knew her, and I have to laugh at some of the things she did while working here. We all loved her too and if there's anything you need, I speak for everybody here, let us know and we'll try our damdest to get it done. Love you....:huggy:

My sincere sympathy to you DR, and your family (including four-legged). By the posted pictures, your wife looked like she really enjoyed life. She will always be with you.

I was just thinking about her the other day. I am truely sorry for your lost. She was a very remarkable person. If though i never met her, online she seemed very up beat.

Mel was one of a kind. I miss that lady and her bike riding stories. I am lucky to have known and ridden with her.

RIP lady.

Tom, manhug. :huggy:

The first time Mikey and I met Mel was a charity ride for the March of Dimes, her first organized ride. She was so nervous she insisted on riding last in the pack. What she didn't know is that the big ol' fire engines with very loud horns followed the bikers!

She did fine, and I'll remember that day forever.

I never had the pleasure of meeting Melanie but loved reading her posts. I appreciate people who show compassion for others, yet don't hesitate to put people in their places when deserved. That's the type of person I envisioned her to be.

Melanie seemed so strong and so willing to lend support even though she herself was sick. I posted a while back about my Dad being very ill with cancer while I was pregnant, thinking he wouldn't make it to meet his first grandbaby. I'll never forget the kind words she sent me, even as she was fighting cancer as well. She touched my heart, even though I never met her. Sorry for your loss, DR. I know she's watching over you and your family.

Oh no DR, what are you going to do with all that TP? You should auction off the Mikey roll and let the highest bidder wipe with it.

I'm sure most of you know by now that my beloved wife passed away a little over a month ago. Married almost twentynine years. She fought a very brave battle with at least 4 types of cancer for about sixteen months. She was the most loving, caring and life loving person I have ever known. I will forever miss her, but I am also glad her suffering is over and it was much quicker than it might have been. I love you, baby. Enjoy your eternal perfect beach.

A few pix.

My condolences, so sorry for your loss.

Desertrat, I never had the opportunity to meet Melanie, but enjoyed her posts very much and felt that she was a friend even though we did not personally know each other. I admired her for the dignity and grace she showed while fighting her battle. Thanks so much for sharing the pictures with us and allowing me to put a face with her name.

:buddies: to Mel.

:yeahthat: I never met her either, but we did speak on the phone from time to time.
RIP Mel.

I am so very sorry for your loss. I hadnt met her but found the posts to be funny and upbeat. Whenever I was feeling upset about some thing in my life I thought of how much she fought cancer and was candid about it.
