I did not know this either. My deepest condolences to you and the family DR.

I've never met her but I PM'd her about a year ago concerning her physical and spiritual condition and we had some very nice, though short, emails. I've been praying for her every day since then.

Funny how praying that long for someone you've never met brings you close to them without them knowing it. How do I know that to be true? These large tears flowing down my face...

I hope you're holding up through all this. The closest I've come to this was my parents passing a few years back. It was tough but, now and then, I go back and read all the cards that I've received from people. Somehow all those loving thoughts refresh me even though they make me cry all over again. Kinda bitter sweet.
I hope you keep this thread for just such an occasion because she obviously was well loved...

Take care my friend...:buddies:

DR

I am so sorry for your loss.

My Sweetest Boy
I have cried off and on all day. We must remember that Melly met death on her own terms. She was prepared. It is my selfishness....I wanted her to stay with me longer because I needed her.

Thanks Catt, you made me cry (again).

I'm sure most of you know by now that my beloved wife passed away a little over a month ago. Married almost twentynine years. She fought a very brave battle with at least 4 types of cancer for about sixteen months. She was the most loving, caring and life loving person I have ever known. I will forever miss her, but I am also glad her suffering is over and it was much quicker than it might have been. I love you, baby. Enjoy your eternal perfect beach.

A few pix.

DR, I am so sorry for your loss. I never got the chance to meet her but always enjoyed her posts and a few PM's. She always lived up to "the nicest" on the forums. I admired her candidness about her battle with cancer. Thank you so much for sharing the pictures and putting a face with the name. Sending out prayers for God to help you though this time of grief and I'm sure that BS Gal is right beside Him making sure that He takes especially good care of you.

Hey, Vrai, is there any way to "retire" BS Gal's avatar? In my mind, anyway, (and I"m sure in others' minds) it will be forever linked with her.

May God be with you and your family DR.

Oh, man I hope she can see all this caring. I barely can. :bawl:

I saw a post of hers the other day and noticed she is still Premo. I think retiring her name/av would be a nice little forum memorial. :yay:

DR, man-:huggy: for you. I hope you are coming through this okay. This thread alone makes it obvious that her personality was infectious, even among those who did not know her personally. She gave us all some great laughs, on and off the forums.

Yep, (she loved your photos)

And I realize now more than ever you don't know what you have until it just is not there anymore.

If you have someone you love, any of you, let them know you do every single moment.

I know she loved the one of the horses. I'll think of her every time I see that one.

I, uh, have to leave the room for a minute. Dang tear... stuff in my eye.

Mel was so funny. She would call me almost every night right around 8:30 p.m. Oh no, what would I say to her. HONESTY...that's what she sought from me. We talked about her love for her husband and her son. For her dog, Rassie. and how despite all odds, how she came to love a silly Boxer.

As much as she thanked me for what I gave her, I am forever indebted to her.
