If I may ...

You are an effing idiot. I've never taken the stance of being a sovereign citizen. A patriot, yes. A rabble-rouser against an irresponsible, heavy handed, government that does not listen to, and takes advantage of, its citizens? Absof-ckinglutley! I have also never said declaring a State of Emergency is illegal. Arguing against, and encouraging the ignoring, and the challenging of issued orders, that go against the US Constitution, threatening people with fines, or jail, for violating the dictates, decrees, of government? Guilty. Why not man the f-ck up and become an American Patriot? At least in spirit? If you can possibly find the ball sack you were born with. Or were you neutered at birth?

Except that data from every country around the globe, with 2.2 million confirmed cases and 150k deaths, shows that it is much more contagious and 10 times more lethal. So you're wrong.

I see there is a bit of a blowup over Stanford U's study showing that the infection rate may be 50 - 85 times higher than the official numbers.

If their numbers are so, and the majority of folks not getting much in the way of symptoms, this thing is very much less worrisome than seasonal flu.

That was a pre-print, unreviewed paper, meaning it had not been vetted by other scientists in the field.

Followup analysis has shown that 50-80ish multiplier was VASTLY overstated by the original authors, due to sloppy statistical methods and poor sampling estimates, and they agreed to re-run their statistical analysis.

I have read that a 10x multiplier was more reasonable, given the raw data that was readily available.

Unfortunately, the 50-80x number played into the media's hype machine, and so it got widely publicized and the refutation did not.

Those things dont cause meat packing plants to close or God forbid power plants. This isnt about saving lives but preserving the infrastructure.

"We are now settling into a new normal."

I hate that people keep calling this God forsaken, totally not-normal circumstance, the 'new normal'.
It is abnormal.
It will never be normal.
What they are saying is this, we can't go back to the way things are until 68% of people on the planet have immunity from COVID-19.
Think about that, 2 thirds of the world population.
But they are telling us to isolate, social distance, stay at home. I don't have the latest numbers on infected in the US (positive test for antibody) but it's not even 10 percent, maybe 1 percent. 320M people (plus or minus ) in the US.

Now, let that sink in. Slow the curve, maybe in January there is a vaccine.
But when will it be ready and available?
How many anti-vaccers will refuse to take it?
Crank that into your Funkenwagnal and shake that magic 8 ball to see when we will hit herd immunity.

Anti-vaccers may have limited options: get the vaccine, take an antibody test proving they already had it (if that is also proven to make them both immune and incapable of carrying it), or staying isolated without government financial assistance.

I think WE all see what is happening. This is a power grab by the leapfrogs, Soroses, Gates, etal of the World. They need to know that it won’t be happenIn’. Just watched The Patriot with Mel Gibson tonight. I saw it 20 years ago but it is really eerie how the movie mirrors what WE are going through, now. Twenty years ago, I thought I was watching a well done movie about history. Oh wait, I get it. History is not taught in school, anymore. God bless the USA.

They are a large enough nationwide group that they will get it tied up in court.
I don't think you can force them. What are schools doing with kids who haven't been inoculated for MMR?
They don't ask for proof of citizenship, do they? Do you think little Lupe comes with medical records and none other?
Plus, this is "The Woke Generation", no student (almost spelled that stupid) left behind. We can't exclude one person, let alone a minor group.

Students who do not have the updated mandated vaccinations are given, rather their parents are, a couple chances to get them before they're excluded from school until they've got them. That is really a non-negotiable.
Now, there are exemptions for medical reasons (such as an allergy to the vaccine, that happened to two of my kids) or religious reasons. That's the sticky one but the way I understand it the religious exemption has to be denominational and not just the parent saying so.
A few (3/4) years before I retired the state did an enforcement in the Spring after spot checking school records. Fully one third of my 9th Graders were out for a shorter or longer period because of not having the records showing they were current.
The "New Americans" (I thought I'd remind you all of O'Malley) follow the same immunization rules as everybody else. Legals are usually fully up to date. Non-standard arrivals aren't because they have no records with them.
