Can Atheists Be Parents?

I comprehend it fine...I'm talking about different areas of belief. If I started getting into it, two things would happen, every my-religion-is-better-than-yours intolerant freak on here would jump in and claim to interpret what I'm asking is something else, they would answer the questions the "right" way and the point I'd be making would be lost.

If there was a god, wouldn't there just be one religion

God should come down and pass out books and say "This is the way it is", instead of people making up their own ways on how to get to heaven. If I had to choose I would pick the one that had me die and get 13 virgins :yay:

They're waiting for you now.

... And if you get your calling in the next five minutes, as a bonus, you'll get: A billion cases of beer, two tractor trailers of smokes....

Why should He/She/It/Them do that?

So, atheists can be parents because they have morals and ethics just like the next person. As we all know, going to a church does not make one moral or ethical.

Why? When a crime is committed and there are multiple witnesses and they all tell different stories, are most of them lying?

well, if many religions are telling many different stories, aren't most of them lying too?

What if one of these man made religions is wrong, and people are spending all their time doing the wrong thing so they are going to hell. Shouldn't god tell us how we need to pray to him and what we need to do in order to go to heaven?

Probably, but we aren't talking about religious institutions, we are talking about "God" or "gods" which is much, much different than the human beings who created churches and organized religion.

Most, if not all, of the man-made religions are wrong. They are man-made and as such highly fallible. Agnostics don't believe in man-made religions, yet recognize that there might just be some sort of "God." That's different from Atheists, who don't recognize the possibility that there is any sort of higher power, commonly referred to as "God."

I'm not talking about Agnostics. Organized religions have been defunct and changed so much over the years, Agnostics might just have a point.
