I am from the north end and while zipping thru the light tonight in the rain, I noticed a bill board near Golden Beach Rd stating something about Charlotte Hall House of Ribs. I know Billy is still at the Landing (crap hole) but was wondering if there is a chance Mike Hick might be opening another place up here?:buddies:

Didn't realize St. Mary's Landing was a craphole. It's always filled with patrons. Their chicken is still some of the best in SoMD.

:boo::barf: I understand the chicken is good but the rest isnt the best. It's crowded I guess because the oldtime locals arent going to change or travel far to eat out.

There is no other place up here to eat unless you want fast food, Mexican or take out chinese.

Copsey's is getting a facelift and new operation -- Bert's (Drive-In) daughter who is married to one of the Buckler family that runs Sandgates, is what I heard. Says they are remodeling and hiring.

Maybe, just maybe, someone could figure out how to make a decent jumbo lump crabcake around here...just wishful thinking out loud!

Sign looks like an OLD sign that has been uncovered. What was St. Mary's Landing before it was SML? Sign says the HOR is 1.2 mile down on right, and that's the location of SML according to my odometer.

House of Ribs.

George (Ray) Wells and partner whose name I've forgotten owned and operated HoR there. Way back when...they and I were going ahead with plans to open a new restaurant at the Swann's complex in Piney Point..never completed though.

The seafood place next to Tidewater Pharmacy is under new ownership so you might just get your wish. I hope they do good, I do not really have a place I can go to regularly and get good seafood. Every place seems really hit or miss.

Never cared for the food or the place. I think (imho) they're only interested in getting people in there for the bar business instead of the food. What I really miss is the old Halfway House. The best Liver & Onions and fried chicken I've ever had. Although, anything on the menu was good.
