Believe the price difference between counties is county tax. can't believe gas is 20 or more cents in Charles County than in Calvert County.

P.S. $2.99 a gallon for oil is cheap - well at least cheaper than Southern Maryland Oil who told me that price per gallon right now is $3.49. We just got a pellet stove too, just need our chimney finished so we can hook up the pellet stove. I'm sure we'll love it too.

$1.99 @ CJ's in Lusby. I think it was the same price at the County Filling Station, too. CJ's just had the light off that displays the prices, but people were still filling up. Hmm.

If anyone goes to the County Filling Station please take time to go inside and drop some change off in the pink container. Im collecting change for the Avon Breast Cancer Walk and any thing would be a blessing! Thanks to those who have donated already. I know the lines there are crazy but it sure is worth it for the $1.99 a gallon.

Safeway - $1.89 pre-discount
Shell - $1.87
7-11- $1.85
WaWa - $1.85

Forgot was Exxon was, but I believe it was $1.87.

It's odd to me that for a long time gas on the shore was cheaper than So. MD, but now it's reversed. :confused:

Used to be thats way with St Mary's as well, they were cheaper than Calvert. Its not that way any longer, and Charles and Southern AA Counties are still higher as well. The Sunoco at Wayson's Corner was $2.09 this morning. :shrug:

It must have gone down @ Safeway in PF since this morning, because I just filled up there and it was $1.85,too. I had $.20 in discounts and paid only $1.65. :yahoo: Even with the regular discount, though, it makes it $1.82.

That station at Wayson's is always more expensive. I think because it's the only one around there (no competition). If you go up into Edgewater, they are cheaper up there. Cheaper than Calvert typically, especially the one on the northbound side of Rt. 2 across from Ledo's with the blue and white sign (can't remember the name of it though). If you're heading south, WaWa is usually the best deal. Be careful of the one just past Ledo's, the price they advertise is for cash only. It's higher if you pay by credit (or even debit, I think, but I'm not sure).

As of 4pm Safeway in Prince Frederick was $1.79 pre-discount!! I believe WaWa was $1.81.
