I hope you don't end up having any more kids because that's a heck of a lot to live up to and once you start it, it's kinda hard to stop.

I never said they were expensive or unpractical gifts. I'm sure every kid wants to get a shower curtain or sports bathroom hooks and a new helmet and bed sheets he would have needed anyway! Remember I love the dollar store!!!!!!!!!!!

Family presents, friends presents...kids presents (not from Santa) under the tree when wrapped ...I agree with Cari it looks so much better. Presents from Santa go under Chirstmas eve..Even with my kids being teenagers (ugg that sounds horrible) we do the Santa thing

Your right appy. I agree with you.

Well since I just moved into my new place there will be no tree this year. BUT in the past I have put the family presents under the tree after they were wrapped.

But growing up nothing went under the tree until Xmas eve after we went to bed. My paretns wrapped everything whether it was from Santa or not from Sanata. Santa gift were always in different paper and tags, even different handwriting(they were good). What we left was up to whether or not Santa was on a diet or not! We also would leave about a cup of sugar on a plate for Rudolph.

Stockings they got wrapped, then when we got horses even the horses had stocking on the stall doorrs and they got gifts to, usually apples and carrots and some alfafa chunks.

My mom wsa really into Xmas when we were growing up.

:yeahthat: Only huge presents like bikes weren't wrapped. Stocking stuffers and Santa presents were wrapped and weren't put out until after us kids went to bed.

We had a tradition of opening one present Christmas Eve night. They were always new PJ's, which we changed into and slept in that night.

That is the same tradition we have. We always got a Christmas Eve gift and when I was kid we just never caught on it was the same concept every year. I remember begging my parents earlier in the day to tell me what it was!!

Is this tradition of not wrapping presents a local (somd) thing? I swear I've never heard of it. As a kid, even some of my stocking stuffers were wrapped. :ohwell:

Definitely not an somd thing. I hate to admit it :barf: , but I am from somd and that isn't our tradition. Santa wraps gift that can be wrapped and things that need to be put together and are too big to wrap he just leaves them near the tree or under (if they fit). We used to sneak down and take a quick peak at those as a kid and then go upstairs and wake up the parentals. :nono:

My worst Christmas present ever was this fuzzy pink bunny outfit that my Aunt Clara made for me. She was under the impression that I was not only perpetually 4 years old, but also a girl. My mother made me try it on and I did so under protest. My father said I looked like a deranged Easter bunny...

...oops, never mind...

Other than the leg lamp, and the tire change, that's my favorite part of the movie!

Okay, the boyfriend and I were having a discussion  last night about whether or not Christmas presents should be put under the tree before Christmas Eve. If you put a few presents under the tree before Christmas Eve please vote yes. If you think you shouldn't put presents underneath the tree until Christmas Eve then please vote no. Whichever gets the most votes out of 30 will decide whether or not we keep the presents under the tree!!

Dang, our tree doesn't even go up until Christmas Eve after the kiddos are sleeping :blushing:
I bet you can guess what I voted
