I liked Corbels. Would have gone more often but it's out of the way for us.

ONLY place I've been to that had REAL fried clams, stomachs and all!

Sad to see them go.

Really sorry to hear this. I didn't find it any more expensive than any other similar restaurant. The food was excellent, the wait staff was great and the atmosphere was very nice.

This is Leonardtown, not Annapolis...I am not surprised at all.

It's no more expensive than the Tides, Asahi, the Steak Place in Wildewood, Dry Dock or Stony's. Again, you get what you pay for. You must pay for a happy meal.

your food only is worth paying a fine dining price in Annapolis, rather than Leonardtown? Are you that pretentious that the city you are in determines price of fine dining.

That's nice.............just bought a gift certificate from them right before christmas.

We are always sorry and sad to hear that another local business has closed its doors, in our effort to help corbels and their customers DB McMillan's and Lenny's Restaurant will be honoring gift certificates at 50% face value until the end of February.

Good luck in your endeavors Leo and the rest of Corbels staff, we wish you the best of luck!

I can think of many local establishments that are thrilled Corbels closed. Corbels was always packed.

I would love to know the story. This was our fav place.

without reading the entire thread (at my risk)...

There is probably no other story then restaurants fail because people that run them just aren't good business people. It's a tough business to be in and the failure rate is high.

Probably close to the answer... from the web site:

Leo Dilling
Chef/Owner

Tough to do well playing both roles.
