 They have THE best in the area. RoseRed and I went there a couple of weeks ago and that's what I had. :yum:

I have a date next week with :gossip: at Clarke's Landing.

I must be the only one who's never been real impressed by Clarkes Landing. :ohwell:

I've never been disappointed there. I think that's saying something, considering that as a rule, I'm always disappointed when I dine out.

1 lb. backfin crabmeat
2 Tablespoons butter
5 - 6 slices stale bread(remove crust and cut into cubes)
1/2 cup milk
1 teaspoon Old Bay Seafood Seasoning
1 Tablespoon minced onion
1 Tablespoon minced green pepper
1 teaspoon Worcestershire Sauce
1/2 cup mayonnaise

Melt butter in saucepan. Add onion and green pepper and cook over low heat until soft. Remove from heat. In another pan cook milk, bread, Old Bay Seafood Seasoning, Worcestershire Sauce over low heat until hot ( DO NOT BOIL). Add bread and stir until saucy looking. Remove from heat and add mayonnaise. Mix. Add butter mixture and mix with sauce mixture. Last, add crabmeat and toss lightly so as not to break up lumps. Bake in greased 1 quart casserole at 450 degrees until bubbly, 10 or 15 minutes. Dot top with butter before baking.

Surely you jest ...
My daughter has all my moms recipes sorry. She is at work and can't reach her. I did have this one in my recipe file on this computer.

Great site by the way. Click on reviews tab and there is a 'tweek' by a woman that I would use, first review. Old Bay is the heart of crab recipes. :)

We always scrubbed the bigger crab shells, dipped in boiling water. Buttered insides and filled those to bake.
