Cracker Barrell not what it used to be

Other than IHOP and Bob Evans, what breakfast options are there for Sunday mornings locally? I know Linda's is closed on Sundays as well as Showtime Deli. I heard Boomerang's and Tall Timbers Marina were doing breakfast again.
There is a new place called "Flashback" open for breakfast and lunch 7 days a week. it is located where the Mixing Bowl used to be.

I said the same thing a number of months ago. Haven't been there in a long time now, and only for b'fast.
Yeah, prior to the lunch I tried breakfest. The sauage patties was raw but burned to a crisp on the outside All of them. Never went back for breakfest again. They are 2 for 2 for the negative column so far. Very disappointing. Once upon a time, they used to be pretty good. I will give them one shot for dinner some time in the future. With their track record, I suspect it will probably be a problem as well.

I was just thinking about that over the past few days. Other than CB, Linda's and the place in L'Town, what else is around for b'fast that isn't a chain?
T BBQ rib place across the bridge. I forgot the name of them. I haven't been there in ages.

Was Cracker Barrel ever anything to start with? Only went there once about 20 years ago and the food was way, way, way over salted and tasted of chemical preservatives. Never saw a reason to go back.

If course, the place was full of blue heads whose taste buds were long dead, so …. What did anyone ever see in that place anyway?
When they first opened, they were horrible. After a few years they got better. They downgraded "Fish Fry Friday" from Haddock to Cod, that sucked. But for the price it isn't bad. If you want sticker shock, check out the on line menus for Red Robin and Olive Garden.

Just went to Cracker Barrell for lunch today. It certainly isn't what it used to be. The Turkey special on Thursdays sounded pretty good. At least I thought so. I had a cup of beef soup as a side. The mashed potatoes were highly salty. The turkey, same thing. The beef soup, also highly salty. Everything, highly salty. I talked to the manager. She said she would check with the cook and make sure it has done correctly. I am not sure why everything had so much excessive salt. I could not eat over half of the meal because of the excessive salt. It's too bad.I was looking forward to a good meal there. I guess I will have to scratch them off of my list.
Well, I went to CB tonight for dinner. I got the roast beef and mashed potatoes & gravy. A terrible waste of my time. The RB was chewy like gum and I couldn't really chew it up. The cup of veggie soup was okay and "not" salty this time. The mashed potatoes was okay with the beef gravy. But, the main part was terrible. That was three strikes.

I think some of it is also cracker barrel having been special because they weren't everywhere so people remembered it fondly. But in general yes, the high population part of MD between Frederick and Annapolis ruins everything. The only bad Boston Market I've ever eaten at was the one in Waldorf.
