Thank you! That makes me feel really good about Manny's surgery. That's a big kitty!
I just called at 8:30 because I hadn't got the call I expected at 8, and they told me he was still in surgery. I guess he got a late start.
They told me I may be able to take him home in the morning, or I may have to transfer him to my local vet depending on his status. I'll be calling at 6am to talk to the overnight vet to check up on that, and I'll be waiting up tonight for his post-surgery condition. I'll be sure to either post an update on here or get some rest (if at all possible). Either way, I'll definitely post here to let you guys know how he's doing by tomorrow morning.
Thanks again for all the support, to all you guys, I wish there was a better way than this I could convey my appreciation. I'm starting to relax a little; the more time passes, and the more I research, the more I realize that this is not uncommon nor a terribly difficult endeavor.
I'll never forget your names, or what you've done to help me keep my sanity. I wish the best for your pets' health for the rest of their lives as you've wished for mine.
The staff at MASH gave Alex much more time with me before he finally got to a point were neither surgery or $$$ could stop the growth of his cancer. He beat it...as I had him put to sleep about a year later.
Had it not been for the skilled staff and awesome Docs at MASH, Alex would have died a lot sooner.
I would not think twice about bringing any pet to MASH...
And he was a huge cat with ripples in his fur!!!! He was 9 years old and a huge love!!!!!
Your Manny is going to be fine!!!! Keep us posted!!!!
