How did you like Celebrity? We've been on Royal Carribbean 3 times and Carnival once. We will never do Carnival again. I was looking at cruises on Celebrity, do they have an adults only solarium/pool area like RC does? How was the food?

Their solarium pool is much better than RCL. Food also is above on Celebrity. I would compare RCL to a Lonestar/Applebees type food and Celebrity is on the Ruth Chris level.

They are a much more laid back line, and not as many kids. Although their kids programs are fantastic!

Great, thanks for the information. Always a little hesitant about booking with a different cruiseline, especially after the Carnival fiasco.

Where are you looking at going?

Celebrity is having a great sale right now...since you have sailed w/ RCL their sister company you will be eligible.

The sale is book a cruise before Feb 17th and you have the choice between
1: Free Gratuities 2: $200 in On Board Credit or 3: 2 free Beverage Packages (all inclusive non alcoholic and alcoholic beverages for your entire cruise)

If you have a Costco card they are doubling the special. You get On Board Credit and 2 Free Beverage Packages.

It was such a good deal we couldnt pass it up and booked a few weeks back.

Costco has FANTASTIC travel deals. Last year we ended up getting something like $500 or so total in on board credit.

This year the drink packages are $350 per person PLUS $200 in onboard credit so $900. Pretty freakin awesome! The last 3 years our bill when we go to get off the ship have been $0

We were looking at renting a car for a week and they were $200 cheaper vs actually booking through Enterprise.

I know, thats why I was asking about Celebrity. Were looking at the Western Caribbean in May. Great deal with beverage package and the airfare I found is unbelievable.

I am wearing two sweaters as I looked at your pics! Really beautiful. A wonderful trip spent with your daughter, that I am sure you think is priceless; you are one lucky dad! You made some great memories for your little girl.

Summed up very well!

My 12 year old daughter prefers Celebrity over the other lines we have sailed-NCL, RCCL, HAL, and Princess. We do have a Carnival cruised booked for this summer-our first. We have some reservations about it, but we are going with friends, so we will still have an enjoyable time. To make up for this Carnival cruise, we have booked another Celebrity cruise for next January WITH the free alcohol package!

It was a great cruise! The ship still had the 'new ship' smell. We had a lot of fun ziplining in San Juan, renting an ATV in St. Maarten, and renting a scooter in St. Kitts - some of the most fun I have had on the islands.

Would you mind posting some more info about the ship, ports, etc... I am going on this exact sailing in December! SUPER EXCITED :bann:
