@ Catt - I'm hoping and praying that she can avoid surgery and it's just a Grade 1!! You know you can drive yourself crazy with all the info out there! Hope we can be of some help and support! Between the two of us we have a wealth of knowledge and experience!

All Kinds

They are GREAT!!
But they do not have the equipment to do sonograms (but that was a few years ago).
They are the ones that referred us to Dogs & Cats.

Agreed. I think if you're looking for guidance, All Kinds in Callaway is your best bet locally.. I have had 4 dogs in my lifetime that suffered cancer. Bone, Kidney, Anal Gland, and Lymphoma. Though not the same as your pet, I strongly recommend them. They are practical, thorough, and compassionate. They take their time with you, lay everything out on the table, answer any of your questions to the fullest extent, and don't hesitate to explain all of the routes you can take with your pet. All three dr's are great, staff, and assistants too.

Best of luck to you

Surgery a week ago to remove the tumor. She had a little extra skin on the belly so the area was easily operable. 17 staples and a drain but she's not even slowed down. She looks fantastic, the drain is out and the site looks good. Should be getting biopsy results any time.

Pix,

Hoping everything goes down smooth on this. I don't like to participate in threads like this because it makes my heart :bawl: and that makes me uncomfortable , but I wanted you to know you and your doggie are in my thoughts.

Hope it all works out... :yay:

:yay: Same as Biscuit. Did they check any lymph nodes? Who did the surgery?

Check them how? She was thouroughly poked and prodded.

I took her to Dr. Autum Terry after the reviews here and several others for a second opinion and because I couldn't go to Dogs and Cats without a refferal. She was awesome and after she explained everything to me I felt comfortable letting her do the surgery opposed to getting a refferal and going up the road.

All Kinds took care of my golden over 5 years ago when she had to have a mast cell tumor removed and did great. Clean margins and no recurrence in 5 years, she's now a healthy and active 10 year old. :yahoo: I've used them ever since and never had any problems.

Biopsy. Did they do a sono of her belly? Just curious..I've heard good things about Dr. Terry.

I didn't need a referral  But maybe that's because I've taken Biscuit to the cardiologist there for years.

I called and they said I needed a referral from her regular vet. She felt her neck and belly really well and said we'd discuss further testing when the biopsy resluts came back. When I talked to her last night about the results she doesn't feel that anything else is necessary right now. They did do a full blood work-up before surgery that came back perfect.

glad things worked out and you were able to take the dog to dr.autumn terry. when i have a problem with any of my pets she always does a full checkup on them and does the tests that are necessary.

Thanks for posting a pic of your baby. shes really a pretty dog.
